r compounds are too expensive for me, Im looking for some low price but decent tires for using on track only. My track rims size: 17"x9/17"x10

HORRIBLE tire.

They sucked horribly for street driving, so they'll suck even more for track driving.

100% agreed. I bought a set of used SSR GT3 wheels that came with the ES100s. I literally gave them away for a case of beer on Craigslist, they were so horrible. I can't imagine doing a track day with them. Get something used, RE050As, PS2s, RT615s, anything, over those tires. RT615s are quite cheap in 17" tires. Also look at the Kumho Victoracer tire. That's what I started on - also cheap in 17" sizes and can drive to/from the track on them. You will kick yourself in the nuts if you choose the ES100s.

All WAY better. From what I've read from a trusted source, I'd choose the XS. Like I said, the Victoracer and RT615s are something to consider, too (for a track-only set of wheels, I'd honestly choose the Victoracers over the RT615s).

You have to love 17" tire size pricing. Kumho XS 255/40 and 275/40 - $600 for all 4 at TR. Even the VRs are $686 in the same size.

Not the best tire for track use. Aggressive street at most. Look to max or extreme perf tires to double as track options.

He isn't looking for a set to double as street and track. He said they are for dedicated track, "My track rims size: 17"x9/17"x10".

If he's driving them to the track, which I assume he is since the original tire in question as a street tire not a dedicated track tire, then a street performance tire is what is best. A dedicated track tire won't be the best idea to drive over there with. If he isn't driving them then I ask why the Yoko or any other street tire was mentioned instead of a track tire.

Yokohama ES100's suck on the street, so its deficiencies would be even more amplified on the track.

Nitto NT05 and Kumho XS have great affordable tires in the sizes you need.

Same model and color or just the same model? I wanted to have the ability to rotate them, since the wear between the 4 isn't even. . .

I just got some FK452s put on last weekend and ran them at the track. I didn't find them too bad, I'm using them as a street tire as well though.

ES100s are **** tires imo. I ran them on my s13 briefly and wasn't too happy with them.

Nice! What are the offsets? (If you don't know, they are stamped on the inside of the wheel, on the back of the spokes).
