Default Nub here, need help.

So I may be getting new rims/tires in the next couple months and wanted to start researching to find an affordable set that isn't going to brake the bank. I was looking at the following but wanted to make sure the rims/tires would work fine together on the car.

Rims: Speedy Wheels Inferno Black

19x8.5's on front (38 offset) - http://www.performanceplustire.com/p...307#prodAnchor

19x9.5's on the back (38 or 30 offset) - http://www.performanceplustire.com/p...320#prodAnchor

For tires I was looking at General Exclaim UHP on tirerack but to be honest did not know which ones I needed/would fit.

http://tires.tirerack.com/search?p=Q...=and&view=list

Thanks to anyone who can help me out without yelling at me for being an idiot for not knowing any of this.

Sean

go check out wheeldude's site , those wheels are just wrong for the Z. You will need an extra $250 in spacers to make them look good.

What do you mean by "are just wrong"
I glanced at wheeldude but the majority of them looked to cost more then I could afford. I'm not going to be taking my car to the track or anything just some rims that were affordable and looked better than my stock ones.
I just want to reiterate that the main thing I am looking for is affordability. I'm only 19 and going to school and don't have the money to be spending $3k on tires/rimes. Just want something that looks nice and is AFFORDABLE.

Even if I could afford better rims I'm not the person who would feel comfortable dropping a lot on just rims/tires. I'd rather spend my money on something else. What exactly does the offset mean? Whats the difference between +10 and +38?

Wheeldude has packages for under $2k , just look around at the venders section. Others have good package deals too.

YOu want your car to look better than stock, well buying ill fitting crap wheels isn't going to do much for you.

If you're looking for advice on wheels other than Volks, Works, (insert expensive wheel brand here) you've come to the wrong place. OP, If you like those wheels, get 'em. Obviously, you want opinions and people are certainly giving them. That is fine and they are just trying to help in their own way. In the end though, make your own decision and don't be influenced by others. Not everyone has 3k to drop on wheels/tires.

^ lol what are you on about? no one is making him buy volks/works, we are even trying him to at least get rotas.

we are giving him advice on nice wheels. Wheeldude's rotas are good enough, and iirc, those are around 1k

the wheels he wants have bad offsets and will look quite bad in most peoples opinions.

Then ask your parents for wheel money when they make your next car payment? ? ? Or save the money from the aftermarket hood you're considering and buy books? https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...ml#post7594289

38mm -10mm = 28mm?

EBAY. Don't be lazy and buy CRAP. Your wheels say alot about yourself and your car.
Take your time, and spend what you feel comfortable spending. Stick with teh stocks
until you are SURE you're ready to spend...

Enkei's will not break the bank, but will still look nice.

lol, he was thinking cars alittle too much...

If Rota's are too expensive for you, i suggest you not buy rims at all and just go to school.

Wish i had a car like a Z when i was 19.

I think those rims I picked look better then any $2k rims. I just made this post to make sure what I picked out would fit fine without a problem. I don't understand why you are all saying save your money. I would rather spend $2k on other things hence why I'm trying to get good looking rims (in my opinion) and tires for as close to $1k as possible if not under. I guess this isn't the right place for affordable rims.

@ scotts, people like you are what make me wish I wasn't apart of this forum. I purchased my car used w/ my own money and then ignorant people like you say ask daddy for money cause he obviously gives u whatever you want. As I said in my other post I work 30hrs/week and go to school and haven't done anything to my car except sound since getting it a year ago. Don't get why its so hard for you guys to understand what I want to do and not what you guys would do.

People get bothered about cheap wheels and tires on a nice sports car because they are the only thing between your car and the road. Its never a good idea to try and save money on tires. They are the most important part on your car. If you cant see that then maybe you shouldn't have a sports car. Dont get all butt hurt about it. Spacers and some really nice tires on your stock rims makes alot more sense from a performance aspect. Most of us here are about function over form.
