Default Tire fit on 19" TE37 Front 8,5 / Rear 9,5

Hey!

I can't find this thread anywhere so here goes...

I just got new TE37's +22 19" 8,5 front and 9,5 back...

What kind of tires should I fit onto them? I don't want them to be stretched, and not a lot over the side, so standard fit...?

THX for your help!

Hehe, I get a different answer everywhere =]

what about height/width ratio?

I'm newbie in wheel/tire deal,... I used the original 245/45/18 Potenza till now... Should the height of the tyre... from the axis be the same as 18, I don't wanna heighten my ride, so same or a bit less, am I right?

Correct me if I'm wrong but... I need 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 for the same height of the car as it is now on 225/45/19 and 245/45/19.

Oh come on give me something challenging to work with. Like

front 20x11 and

rear 17x6. That would be cool.

This 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 is child's play. Been done a hundred times.

Correct. Maintain the same overall tire height. Width is variable.

Is there a downside if I put 255/275?

I mean, I think wide wheels look great on sport cars, but is there a disadvantage of a wide wheel? Except weight, handling, gas millage...?

Ok 245-255 is nothing... But a difference between stock 225 and 255, should be felt?

Generally speaking, wider tires/wheels do sh*t poor in the rain as well.

I had the same offset/sizes on my Z. I ran 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. Then changed to 255/35/19 and kept the 275/35/19. It was lowered quite a bit, and never a problem. There wasn't much room for more width. No VDC issue.

Here it is with the 245/275 combo:
