Default Problem with install

Its been a PITA getting my tires and wheels together. Started with buying a used pair of Work Emotion Crkai’s and finding out they were bent. Had to get them repaired. Finally got the tires mounted. This morning I tried putting the rims on the car. Bolt pattern fits fine but the center hub on the rim is a too small and does not go all the way in. So the inside of the wheel does not touch the surface where the bolts come out on the car.

Hopes this makes sense. I can post pictures soon.

What is this specification, the diameter of the center hub for 350Z’s? Basically the rims don’t go all the way back when putting them on .there is a gap, the inside face of the center of the rim does not touch the face of the surface where the bolts are. The center thing coming out is too big compared to the rim’s inside center cap area. Help would be appreciated

18x9.5 rear
18x8.5 front

66.1 mm is the hub on the Z...

if you must have these wheels then the only thing i can recommend is spacers...how big is the gap?

did you take the little bolt off of the front? that would block the wheel from fitting flush also.

thanks for the replies, i will look into that ^ when i get home tonight.

I will also look into the spacers, and get back to you on how big the gap is. thank you for the specs!

I'm just glad there may be other options besides getting rid of the wheels cause its been a long process getting the wheels fixed, new tires, lugs, and all.

Make sure there is no ring inside the wheel.

so it looks like the center bore is about 2mm too big and so the wheel won't go in. It seems like such a small gap that I'm tempted to sand the wheel bore so it will go in. The rims are used and look like they have a fresh powdercoat over them, I may just sand it down since the gap is tiny, any thoughts?

I made sure there was no ring inside the wheel, thanks

EvoKiller what front bold are you talking about? I didn't really see any other bolts besides the lug bolts and center one holding everything to the car.

its probably already been taken off then. the bolt is there so that dummies dont accidentally switch the rears with the fronts. but often times the bolt interferes with aftermarket rims.

Correct on the bolt. Check closely.

If it's just 2mm, you can try and sand it. I think you'll get tired of sanding (manually). See if a wheel shop will put them on a lathe to open the bore up 2mm. Should be cheap and easy.
