I have problems with 275's in the front with 25mm offset. The rub under extreme driving conditions.
What wheel width and offset? I run a 275 front on 17x9.5" +30 wheels without issue, as well as 17x10" +20 with a 275. The 17x10 +25 with a 275 was >< close to rubbing on the inside, so I decided to run a small shim spacer. Some do, some don't - the Hoosiers run a little wider than other 275 tires.
You can get the shim-type spacers at most any auto store or speedshop. Ebay 'em if you have the time, they should be cheap. I think I have at least one extra set - can check if you're interested and not in a huge rush.
18 X 10 +25 offset. I thought about running a 5mm spacer to avoid the rub.
Do you run those with 275s all around and which end needs the spacer to avoid rubbing? I ask because I'm in the market for wheels and tires and am thinking of that size wheel (or 18x9.5) and 275s all around. Thanks for any info.
Oops. Nevermind. I see that you are, indeed, running 275s all around.

Can you fit 275s on the front with that offset? They aren't that light, when compared to SSR Comps or even RPF1s. The cast 17x10s are ~21# (I have them for open tracking, also), and agree they are great value, but 17x10 RPF1s are 17#, and my 17x9.5" SSR Comps (for autox) are 15#, 17x10s SSR Comps are 17#. Sure, there are heavier cast wheels, but these aren't the lightest of 17" wheels for sure.
I like the +22 offset 17x10 FNO1R because you can likely put a 295 on the back, though I doubt I'll be able to match that in the front since my big 275 is already a super tight fit.
275 would fit upfront but would need a 5mm spacer. Right now I have hardly any clearance. I am sure I could fit 295 in back but no one makes street tires in that size,. Biggest I found was 285/40

Why do you need a spacer with a 17x10 +12? Most can run the 17x10 +25 with a 275 without a spacer. I need the small shim because the 275 Hoosiers are so wide.
How does a set up like 17x9.5 +18 front, and 18x9.5 +15 rear (enkei rpf1) sound? Also for tire size, would it be possible to run 255 all around or is it better to go for a wider size? Thanks!
I'm now running RPF1's 18x9.5 front with 275 and 18X10.5 rear with 295 Hoosiers. I did have my fenders rolled to clear with a wider stance in the back. Worth it for the extra grip!
