My HRE 547Rs have just arrived, due to be mounted this weekend

I hear your point, these are not inexpensive.
But to put them in context, these were custom made to my specific requirements (offsets, clearance, etc..) and achieved the exact look I want. By the way you also get great customer service from HRE even if you are on the other side of the world.

ether you lucky guy, how long did the entire process take. I am presently waiting patiently for my HRE(s). What tires are you considering wrapping them in?

I'm trying to find some of the emails, but I think it was about 4 or so weeks from once I finalized the order to when they arrived in Japan. I do remember they were almost spot on to the estimated time of shipment put down on the order confirmation note.
I'll be putting on some Michelin pilot sports - 245x35 and 275x35, had these before and they are wonderful in both dry and wet climates. If I was in a drier climate I would have gone with Pirelli's pzeros.
