OEM wheel finish
I tried searching for this, but alas I am horrible at finding anything with forum search utilities.
Can someone tell me what type of finish the OEM 350z wheels have on them? Looking at the 18" 5 spoke variety (non-anniversary).
Are they painted? Powdercoated? Polished?
I assume they are painted but would like to know for sure.

Not going to differentiate between paint and powdercoat. Both are paint just a different application process.
OEM wheels are paint plus clearcoat.

Thanks David...
Looking to buy some OEM wheels that are scratched but not curbed. If painted, I feel that they may be repairable.

On a related note, does anyone know the paint code of the 06+ OEM wheels?

Nissan does not publish paint codes for wheels.

Professional painting will cost you $400/4 wheels. Tires off the wheels, sandblast, paint, clearcoat, tires on the wheels and balanced. Man-hours intensive.

Well that's no good.
I wonder what a close code would be. Would like to buy something for touch-ups.

I called my local dealer and they do not even have the paint code or paint for touch-ups.
Said that the wheel manufacturer would have to provide that.

Yeah this has been asked a lot of times... still with no definite answer. I do remember reading the base coat is black though...
