Default Tire size questions, need advice about fitament asap!!!

I posted this in the GTS thread too, but no repsonse.

Need some help guys, I have searched and searched and seem to come accross contradicting info. I just bought a set of 19" GTS's 9.5/+17 and 10.5/+18, the most common setup. These are going on stock suspension for now on a 03 350Z Tourning. I have to buy tires in the next 2-3 days and I dont want the stretched look. I was thinking 255/35/19 up front and 275 or 285/35/19 in back. With this rub without rolling or cutting the fenders. The car was just painted so I cant do this to brand new paint, many will say im retarted for not doing this while it was being prepped but i couldnt because I didnt know at the time which wheel I would end up with. I would like to get a set of drop springs soon too but I dont want to eff up the camber really bad (sugestions welcome for how far to drop with these wheels). Please help!

Without a drop you'll be fine.

If you drop it I would recommend modifying the fenders.

I'd like to see a 265 on the front to avoid stretch, but 255 should be ok. 285 rear min to avoid stretch, and 295 more ideal.

275/35 in the rear with a roll if you go bigger you will need a pull. 255/35 fronts are fine.

Your demands are conflicting: aggressive wheels and fat tires and clearing suspension and fenders.

You can run 265 to 295 mm tires on 10.5 inch wheels. 265 mm is better for clearance. I will let you decide what is a is not a stretch.

I know they are conflicting, it sucks, I wish I knew I was going with these wheels before they painted the car. My dumb mistake though, I'll have to live with it. I thank all of you for the quick input. I will go with 255 in front and 285 in the rear, I shouldn't rub then. I think I have decided not to drop the car now anyways, Minnesota roads aren't very forgiving, plus I want to be able to take corners with the car without rubbing. This way I dont have to mess with camber issues. I will make this decision once the wheels are on the car and I see the stance in person.

255/285 or 255/275 are fine combos as long as you keep the 35-series aspect ratio.

Typically see a 255/35-19 front and 285/35-19 rear.

255/285 is a good choice but I highly recommend you roll your fenders with this setup, even on a stock suspension. It's simply not worth rubbing and shredding tires over the <$100 it costs to roll. I was running this tire setup with moderately rolled fenders, and I still rubbed.

^^ Wouldn't this (275 vs. 285 width tires) also depend upon the wheel offset?

What wheel offset with 285's do you recommend rolling rear fenders?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I was running the same wheel and offset as the OP. Volk GTS +17/+18 front/rear. Also had Tein S-tech springs.

I can't say exactly what wheel offset requires rolling since it depends on so many factors (drop, tires, camber, offset, etc to name a few).
