Question Track Wheel-Spacers

Hello!

I have ordered the Z with the Rays forged wheels because no affordable aftermarket wheel combination looked nearly as good for me than the track-rays.The only wheel i like is the TE37 wheel which is not available here in germany plus it has to be in 19" for looks so all four new stock tyres have to be changed--$$--
Now i`ll stay with the track rays and consider to put some wheel-spacers on them because the only complaint i have is that the wheels look a little bit `tucked-in`
Someone feels the same?
And somebody else has done this to the stock wheels before?
How big should the spacers be to get the wide-stand-look?
Maybe this spacers could make the car look meaner without changing wheels, and mounting Eibachs which would affect the warranty in case of feathering...
The spacers can easily be dismounted before bringing the car in to service so everything looks original.....

What are your opinions about this?
thanks in advance for your help

I put 1" (~25mm) spacers on the back of my wife's G35c and it worked awesomely. I think thats about the right size for the Rays also.

for those in the states, you can get 1" spacer/adapters from summitracing.com for $39/pr. Part number TRD-7069. They are called adapters, because they will fit on either a 4.5 or 4.75 bolt pattern.

Samuel, did you have to use longer studs? What all needs to be purchased to put in spacers?

Thanks,
Victor

Thank you for your help and pointing me to the right thread.
Iwould love to see Z350Lover`s pics but they dont work.
I think i`ll buy a pair of25mm spacers and test if they work for the fronts too, then buy the other pair of spacers in the right dimensions...
@Mike Wazowski; the right spacers should look like these:http://www.spurverbreiterung.de/_bil...g/ds_sys_3.gif

No, these spacers have their own studs.

Required Items:
Spacers $39/pair
10 open end lugnuts 12x1.25mm to bolt the spacer to the car, about $10 @ pepboys
10 1/2" standard lugnuts, to bolt the wheel to the spacer, also around $10 at pepboys or summit.

The standard lugnuts I got from summit (Part SUM-753032) use the same size lug wrench as our factory lugnuts.

spacer on the car (the 17" G35c came with short lugnuts, which worked with my wheels, so I didn't need the open end ones)

I just ordered a pair of wheel adapter from summit racing plus a set of 10 lugnuts to bolt the wheels to the adapter. I was wonder can I use the stock lugnut to bolt the adapter to the car or do I have to buy them at Pepboys cause Summit racing don't have these lugnuts.

no offense taken charly, these are just an inexpensive way of doing it.

steffen, as for the stock lugnuts, maybe. If you have the 17s with the short lugnuts, they should work fine. If you have 18s you can try, because there may be some relief area behind the wheels like in this photo, and they may or may not fit up in their.

hmmm... while those spacers from summit will work..... for peace of mind it may be better to go with a machined billet spacer.... the cheap ones are cast aluminum and have about 30% the strength of a quality billet piece. I woulnd't trust them at 125+mph.

they cost about $300 a pair though..... that's the bummer.

Mine were custom made by wheelspacers.com. I needed some really odd thicknesses and the dude made them to order.

Got mine at Summit for around $50 a pair including bolts. For road use I think these are fine. I don't think I'll be doing 125+mph everyday and if I do go that fast it probably be just a quick burst.
