Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta vs Hankook V12 opinions
So I am stuck between these two tires. I also track my car, and will use one of these on the track when I go. I am looking for good life, good traction, quiet tires vs my KDW2s. Has anyone here owned both? Give me your reviews as the Hankooks are cheaper than the Vred's and easier to get.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm running the V12s now and have a 2 track and 2 autocross days on them and maybe a 1000 road miles. They are holding up very well and I've been happy with their performance (grip, noise, wear) although I can only compare to the OEM Potenzas. I've got Vreds on my road bicycle but that probably doesn't help ;-)
Another tire I'd add to your list is the Yokohama Advans. The Advans showed up on a number of recent "street tire on the track" test as a top performer and appears to be price competitive with the V12s. I don't have the links handy but know it is posted here somewhere. I went with the Hankooks though because of the higher treadware rating, solid performance in multiple reviews, and price. Also, a $50 rebate (see the Hankook website) was a nice bonus.
FYI - I bumped up to the 275 rear and 255 front widths since they didn't offer a 265.
Always enjoy your track vids, here some of mine from High Plains Raceway:

IMO, the Sessantas are very good street tires, but you will probably be disappointed with their track performance. When I ran them last year (HPDE2), I felt that their grip was not much better than the OEM Pilot Sports, even though they were much wider (275F/295R vs. 225F/245R).
My guess is that the Sessantas do worse on track because it can't handle the increased, sustained heat that is generated in that type of environment, as compared to the street (even aggressive street driving). From what I can recall, there was another person who was disappointed with the Sessantas during his track session.
The Nitto NT-05s that replaced the Sessantas this year (275F/275R) have much better grip on the track. However, it should be noted that I ran the Sessantas on stock alignments, while the Nittos were a little more aggressive (-2.0F/-1.8R). Perhaps the Nittos would be more appropriate (although the tradeoff would be decreased tire life).
In terms of noise, the Sessantas were noisier than the Michelins, with the Nittos noisiest of all. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the Hankooks.
Hope this helps.
