Default Work Meister S1 +23 rears question...

Is there a way to make these wheels aggressive? I heard you just can't put spacers on the Meisters and that I need extended lugs.

Has anyone done this?

thanks!

You can put a 15mm with extened studs! IDK why you would not be able to put spacers on them? Thats a first for me!

Oh okay. Is 15mm safe for 275/35/19 - +23 - 19x10.5 on GF210s?

yes, but you'll need to roll your fender for sure... might as well
get this out of the way before you add the spacer or you'll scrape
tire.

Oh yeah. Definitely gonna roll my fenders.

Would be nice to switch to something like 265/30 but I'm just on springs and I dont wanna have a gap.

I guess I came to the right thread:

I have 20mm H&R spacers on Meister 10.5 +23 with 275/35/19 tires. They came with extended studs so you have to hammer out the stock ones.

I'm completely dumped on my Tein Basics with the rubber stopper cut 1/2 inch. I would recommend rolling no matter what, because even if you clear, any hard turning or expanding will rub.

Because you can't just put spacers w/ built on studs with the Work Meisters. They have a flat disc on the rear and any extra stock stud portruding will hit the wheel. (unless it's +20mm)

If you use extended studs (like you stated) then it will work.

So would I need to hammer out my studs if I get one of these?

No, since the studs are built in so it goes on top of your oem studs.

The only catch is, if the spacer is 15mm or less, the stock stud will not clear the shallow spacer and portrude. Your Work Meister wheel will hit it, unless you go with a really aggressive spacer like a 20/25 mm.

Now if you go with H&R or Eibach spacers, you can go as shallow as you want because you're replacing the studs.

The price we pay for going with a more classic wheel.

just get a 20/25mm with build in studs so that you dont have to deal with exchanging studs. You might even get away with just a roll.

You need a 25mm or larger kics spacer for it to work with the meisters. Like mentioned previously, they have a flat contact patch on the back of the hub so you cannot have the factory studs protruding. I have 15mm Ichibia V1 spacers on my rears currently. You have to remove the calipers and brake discs to hammer the factory studs out.

35oZephyR: Thanks for the info, dude. Yeah, I'm kinda jealous with the volk owners just slapping spacers anytime. haha!

John: 20mm might be pushing it with 275/35

Mel: Nino's running 35mm lol! I think he can get away without taking out the orig studs.

Citrus: What tires are you running and what drop do you have. I like how flush the 15mm looks. Are you +23 as well?

standard 19x9.5 +24 / 19x10.5 +23 setup
275/35/19 T1R in the rear
BC Racing BR-type coilovers w/ shorter springs. They sit much lower than the pic shows (the rear suspension was jacked up just a little in the pic so I could get a feel for how much poke a +15mm would have), its flush, but not crazy hella -6 degrees camber flush.

I originally got 15mm Kics for my Volks. Then I picked up the Meisters and was like "FUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"

Got some 20mm H&R to kick it up a notch.

Don't have any close-ups but it's pretty flush with 275/35/19

I have since, gone lower.

Very nice pics man! So at 20mm + rolled fenders, you have no rubbing issues?

Are your fronts spaced out as well?

No rubbing at all.

I'm running 15 mm H&R spacers in front on a 255/35 tire right now. No rubbing either, and it's pretty dumped.
