Duhh!!!!
Hello guys,
I know there is a link somewhere here, I am now fully retired and now getting started on my Z !
I am looking to get a set of wheels and tires for it
2005 350Z Roadster White
Since i live in Pothole city Illinois, I would love to get a set of 18" wheels, but feel I will end up staying with the 17", Would like any suggestions as to what tire or wheel set that would enhance the stance and looks, with out having to give up my tpm or any fender rolling etc
Basically looking for what size widths i can get away with? by using the 17" or 18"
if you can paste link or direct info?
Thanks all

Nah, stick with 18s. You'll be fine; but I'd advise against 19s (although you're probably smarter than that anyway). ^--this dude's width/offset suggestions are good too. But don't do 17s...

Yes, I feel although the slowest one in the Force, the most feared....
If anyone out there has ever heard the rip from the GAU30.....'
In real life, it will raise your neck hair.....
Raised more than that firing that bad puppy......
I will most likely try the 18s , But when you guys talk about offset and spacers
do i order wheels that way, or is there a kit??
Thanks for the non informed........
.....oops , Forgot,
The tire sizes are listed as such, is there a rim size i will need to stay with also....
Sorry bout all the repeated questions, just checking and double checking...

OP, decide if you want 17" or 18"... You'll probably end up going with 18...haha.... now decide the widths and offsets of the wheels... that will determine your tire widths... It does sound really confusing but you'll get get it when you do your research... GL

I would also go 18's and you also need to decide if you want to go with a staggered set-up or the same width all round. The offsets also determine the size of the lip and most set ups have the wider wheels in the rear with the larger lip

Hi,
I would go with 18” wheels (I’m assuming that you ask about street driving). 18” wheels definitely handle better and feel better in corners than 17”. I have both sizes, but I only use the 17” wheels for winter driving.
Here is an easy and reliable size-upgrade:
If you are ordering new wheels, here’s another setup that looks sharp (and keeps the same siewall height for fronts and rears:
An offset of 30 to 22 eliminates rolling your rear fenders even if you drop the car about ½”. I would get wheels with the offset you want rather than adding the complexity and cost of spacers.
Some members prefer wider tires with a 16 to 18 offset, but that may require rolling your fenders. But then again, if you really want a “flush look,” the only way to do this is rolling your fenders.

Here is an easy and reliable size-upgrade:
- Front: 8.5” x 18” wheels with 245/40-18” tires
- Rear: 9.5”x18” wheels with 275/40-18” tires
