Default New Wheel and offest question

searched around but can't find an exact yes no or maybe, looking to get 5zigen zr+ 520 for my car

question is
can do 19x8 front +37 with a 10mm spacer (roughly +27 then) and 19x10 +20 in the back no spacer and be ok? I was running 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 before with my old wheels both +25

Im doing this simply for looks the 520 wheel is very flat on the 19x8 and very concave on the 19x10 so im going for a drastic change from the front to the back, my only other choice is to go 19x9 front +20 and it will be closer to the back wheel as far as how much it curves in from the edge of the wheel.

Don't think i will ever run more than a 245/35/19 tire up front so would there be a problem running a rim that width in the front over running the same tire on a 9in wide rim in the front what i know so far is that the stock rays 19s on the g35 are a 19x8 front so to me it doesn't seem illogical to get the 19x8 5zigen wheel

Sounds fine to me, though you may opt for a larger front spacer at some point.

I don't have 19s so I'm just speculating; why not go for 19x9/10+20? I would think if 19x9.5/10.5+22 doesn't rub then 2mm wouldn't make much of a difference. Then you would have the Type2 or Type3 concave face.

Edit: reread your post, you want the drastic change in concavity...

^ yea i want the front to look more flat and the back to look more concave see what i mean so it would be type 1 front and type 3 rear i guess i could get a 15 mm spacer in the front and then it would be a +22 and +20

offsets in the low teens would be optimal... offsets in the 20's will look tucked.

I think the 19x8 shouldn't even be an option. Maybe call and see what face type the 19x9+20 and +37 are.

On a side note, I was always paranoid using spacers. Peace of mind with lower offsets is a plus.

why would you say 19x8 shouldn't be an option i guess is what im getting at,

type 1 19x8
type 2 19x9
type 3 19x10
no matter what the offset
and ive been researching spacers and seems that they are perfectly fine to run ive talked with a few people who track with them and don't have any issues

Just doesn't seem like much of an upgrade. I'm sure you will figure it out, just my opinions

I look forward to see how they turn out!

i was just wondering if there was some cardinal sin for getting a 19x8 as apposed to the 19x9 even if i plan on running the same tire on it

You can do what you want, but I'll think its dumb.

You should buy the better fitting wheels and avoid using a spacer since you have the option!

19x10 +20 all around or 19x9/19x10 stagger is a better idea. They will match better and you don't have to worry about a spacer.
