It's a shame that some have moved from s10 pickup trucks to 350'z and brought this dumb **** with them. This fad can't die fast enough. Anyone that finds anything appealing about running a tire too small.....on a rim too large......while running -290834820934820934 degrees camber.........so it's "hellaflush" should be hit with a swift roundhouse kick to the ***** (or falcon punch for the ladies

But, apparently the cool 'hellaflush' thing to do is take this to the level where people are putting 225s on 10.5" wheels and further. Then when they forget to inflate their tire one day, it pops right off the wheel and you now have a near 2 ton rolling road hazard. That is unacceptable.
We get it hellaflush, dumpt, pokd, /offset\ etc etc etc, very cool, very self congratulatory. If you scrape everywhere, wreck your lips on a curb, and all around have a miserable time trying to get your uber dumped car around that's your business. But please think about other people sharing the road with you when you are driving. That is all.

I'll be honest, I absolutely hated the stretched look when it first came out and it still has VERY limited appeal for me. I still very much prefer proper sized tires on wheels, proper alignment, and things that make you fast around a track vs pretty in a parking lot.
I will forever be function > form, but I am a guy who wants to track as my hobby vs sit and stare at a car. That's me and it's not for everyone by any means. That being said, I have come across a few mildly stretched setups and a rare mod-aggressive flush setup that I have genuinely liked a lot. But if I can see the barrel of your wheel with your tire mounted = you sir are a jackass, or if you have so much camber it looks like your rear axle snapped in half, well...what can you say to that?

i like the stretched look,but there's a limit, that 13" rim stretch just looks scary(stupid).
i feel safe on mine. also i drive in Canada, pot holes and frost heaves. (rims still look like new)

i was thinking of how i should buy tires with less money.
i have 19inches rims with low profile that costed me alot. Costs me often b/c of the bad wheel alignment.
So i thought i could get tires cheap and stretch them to make them fit.smaller tires= cheap.
how much can i save from stretching tires? awk..
Is it really necesary to have stretched tires when drifting? Can't u just overinflate the tires?
How much does it normally cost to strech tires?

Yes I'm talking out of my ***...apparently I need to run a prospective randomized double blind trial of proper tire sizes vs stretched to make that claim.

Hmm, running 225 on a 10.5" wheel + careless = tire off wheel. This time it was ok, lets keep hoping that it always works out.

Looks like I got spotted by someone on the Zilvia (240 forums) on my way to get some fatter tires put on in the rear. I was careless and didn't check my air at all since they were mounted. Low pressure + stretched tire = tire comes off. Luckily my rims were ok and so are the tires, but to play it safe, I ordered new tires since I wasn't sure...now that I have an extra set, I can use the ones I had in the rear up front. Rears are now 235/35's.
On the way to City Tire in South Gate...Props to John and the tire guys for squeezing me in last minute. Also thanks to 4Dr.Madness. for letting me borrow the donut so I could use my spare (which I left at home) and silverg35sport for bringing a jack (which I also had at home).
