Moved to proper forum

I've never heard anybody say that the brakes were in the way of larger wheels or tires.

Rear brakes aren't that heavy and they actually are very useful.

I'm still trying to figure out how removing the rear brake would help with a wider wheel and tire. Not to mention, rear brakes kinda help.

your wheel and tire 'limitation' (in reality there really are none) are by virtue of the dimensions of the car (suspension on the inside, body on the outside) - the brake setup in the back, especially on a stock car, have nothing to do with it

Yes.

Removing the brakes will allow you to fit wider tires. And you cut curb weight by about 40 pounds. Brakes are overrated. You can downshift and drift to a stop.

Lol, might as well remove all the fenders and the shocks. Then you could get really aggressive with your wheel and tire setup. You could also remove the engine for even more weight reduction I mean who really needs it?
