Exclamation Eastwood Fender Finisher

I'm not sure if this was designed to roll your entire fender or crimp small parts at a time (finisher), but it's 1/3 the price of a roller

Just googled it $80. I think you can actually use a big set of pliers and add rubber pieces to avoid damage plus the heat gun of course. Because for what it is it is a lil pricey but still cheaper than the traditional roller

Great find! I have a Fender roller from them but if I didn't I would pick this up.
Save me some $$ or just pick up a nice Louisville slugger

I just went to their site and it's only $40 now.

http://www.eastwood.com/fender-finisher.html

Reading their reviews though, it looks like it works best on only the front fenders.

It's cheaper, but I think this is good for fenders that are already rolled. It looks like more of a finishing tool to pull them out a little bit more. I think for our rears, the traditional roller (or bat/pipe) would be better.

He didnt do the best job either, you can see a changed reflection in the front portion of the fender lip closer to the tape. Benefit of a roller is it is more consistant. This tool would require more refinement me thinks. Still interesting though, I could use it to push my fender back in a little actually as it pulled more than I wanted when I did my roll.

^+1 agreed

after doing so many fenders myself, i cant see how "pinching" the fender would do the same as constant pressure from a roller. these glorified pliers could do much more harm that good in the hands of the average joe that will probably buy these.

Maybe that's what the tape is for, where points of contact have been established.

^ yup

Roller will provide consistent results opposed to such a plier like device.

I think the louisville slugger would do a better job.

The best way to roll your fenders without buying a roller is go to Walmart and buy a wooden baseball bat. If you think I'm crazy, im not, I do body work for a living. Not only did I use this on my personal Z, I have rolled fenders on 2 Mercedes S600's and a couple of 41' Chevy custom coupes. All you have to do is jack the car up, place the bat in between the tire and fender, lightly set the car down with the bat at an angle, throw the car in neutral and roll the bat while applying pressure upwards. It also will help if you use a heatgun to "warm" the fender to prevent paint chipping. Do not heat the fender to where it is too hot to touch or you will blister the paint. Dont waste your money on a roller or this peice of crap because it will either crease the metal or chip the paint.
