Just wanted some input from you experienced FI guys.
I currently have some worn out PS2's on the rear..295/35/19 and would like to replace them in the near future. I bought them slightly used (80% tread left) and was never very happy with the traction. The car is making 400whp, and I would like a good overall performance tire with traction being the primary concern.
I read reviews on tirerack .com, but they are all over the place, so I thought I get some input here from those making similar power on a Z.
I am not sure if brand new PS2's would stick much better, if so that is an option. How do you guys find the NITTO Invo's as far as traction goes?
The car is primarily street driven with some drag racing.

are you basing this off of using them in the summer? i have found most summer tires are useless for traction below 50 degrees. i agree the PS2 doesn't perform for its price, i was happier with the goodyear f1 supercar with the same tread rating, but might try something with lower treadwear like the RE050 or RE-11. i also here nothing but good things about the toyo R888, but they have high price tags

Yeah I read all the reviews, so many mixed thoughts on tires. Guys that are N/A will have a much different opinion than those that are F/I when it comes to traction. Also, when a review starts with "Nitto sent me these tires to review" I can't really put my money on a honest opinion.
It does sound like it is a good tire for the price, that is why I mentioned it in my initial post.

i love my goodyear gs-d3's awesome dry/wet traction and sidewall is great in corners. i also have the goodyear f1 asymmetric up front and its proven to be a great tire as well. im not putting down near as much power as you, but these tires i really have to work to get it to break loose. where as, the pilot sports i had on before where ALL OVER THE PLACE. and the sidewall on the ps2 is CRAP.
btw, im on my 5th set of gs-d3's in the rear and i will continue to buy them as long as they keep making them

Either the Bridgestone RE-11 or the Yokohama Advan 08. There are no substitutes, lol. Wow, finding tires for that exact size netted one tire set and that was BFG. You may need to find another size that is compatible with your rims. If not your stuck with BFG.

I have decided to go with the Toyo R888's. They are available in 295/30/19.
Unfortunately they are not available in Canada, and tirerack does not carry them.
Do you guys know where I would be able to get them online at a reasonable price?

They even have a banner that pops up on this site with some sort of coupon code. The best price on r888s I could find a few months ago.

You are right, it's all on back order AND they don't ship to Canada. Any other options?

Another place that offers pretty decent prices. Don't know about shipping.

Don't know why, but nobody wants to ship to Canada.
Should get it shipped to someone in the US, and have them ship it up here.
They are also on backorder, and don't know for how long.

It's a bit more of a hassle but nothing big. I have shipped 4 pairs of tires to Canada, and a full set of wheels/tires to friggin' Germany! If you find them in the US, which I think will be a challenge, I'd be happy to help get them to you in Canada if it makes sense.

If that doesn't work out I will PM you and we can go from there.
Thanks again.
