What does the tire calculator say about the difference in circumference?

What does the tire calculator say about OEM vs new tire speedometer error?

65.97/2076.91 = 3.1 percent. This is perfect.

Speedometer will read 99.35 at 100.0 MPH. Well within acceptable range.

Yup. Stock diameter in the front is 25.7" I believe and the rear stock is 26.3". If you go larger on the rear than stock, your speedo will read slow. In general, you want to try and stay between a 0-3% stagger to keep your VDC happy.

The difference you have is a tad more than that so you may not have any problems, but then again you might. You can decide for yourself if the speedo and odometer variance bothers you.

Out of curiosity (nothing to do with your questions), what offsets are you planning to run with those wheels and the size tires you listed?

19x11 +12 (or lower) with a 285? Good luck.

I was wondering where Scott was going with his question…

Your reply…

…affirms the reason for Scott’s question (he is wise).

If your plan is mounting a 285mm tire on a 19x11 with offset +12 (or lower) rear wheel, you may need a sheet-metal cutter instead of just rolling the rear fenders. It’s likely that this configuration will have its tires outside the stock fenders.

With 19x11 wheels and an offset +12, you should consider going with a wider tire (295mm or 305mm) and installing a body kit that accommodates the wheel’s offset and its best fitting tire width (tire width to body kit).

that will work perfect .. i ran the same set-up 19/9.5 19x10.5 so with an 11 width in the back you will be stretching a little but it'll work no prob

Because it's an 11" wheel with a +12 (or less) offset. You'll need to run a super stretched tire to make that work. You can get more direction in the stretched tire thread: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...s-welcome.html

My wife's car has a 19x10.5 +28 (net) with a 305 tire, and it just barely clears. Yes, I understand she has a 305 and you want to run a 285, but your wheel will "stick out" 23mm more than hers (assuming the +12), the room just isn't there for another inch unless you stretch the tire. Shaving/grinding/rolling won't buy you an inch. You could run the 19x11 with a higher offset, like +33 or so.

I doubt a 19x11 +12 with a 285 will work without seriously ridiculous negative camber.
