New guy with a question....
Hi everyone,
Just got an '08 Roadster and have a quick question.
Which is the better wearing tire for everyday no aggressive driving? The stock Bridgstones or Toyo T1R's?
Thanks to all who answer.

Whiel the toyos have a higher wear rating, in high performance tires, that's generally meaningless. RE050s are much better tires, IMO
I heard the stock Bridgestone's last alot longer. Just like in anything, the harder you drive the more wear goes on the tire. Here is a description of both:
Toyo T1r's
UTQG- 280 aa/a
speed rating- V,W,or Y
Great street tire with limited track time
Bridegestone Potenza's
UTQG- 280 aa/a
Speed rating- W or Y
High performance street tire
The UTQG rating is a set of numbers and letters that indicate three things: treadwear, traction, and temperature specs. The first number is how long the tire will last( the higher the better the tire will last, but sacrifices some grip. The lower the treadwear, the more grip it will have, but sacrificing the life of the tire.) The next symbol indicates the traction with AA being the highest. The rating goes from AA, A ,B, and C. The last symbol indicates the temperature and how the tire will cope with heat stress with A being the highest. The rating goes from A, B, or C.
The Speed Rating is how fast a tire can safely travel and repeatedly travel while under load. The ratings go from L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, U, H, V, W, Y or Z, with Z being the highest. Hope that helps.
