Before you flame me, I've searched extensively, run wheel offset calculators, etc. I've found the theory, but like they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Accordingly, I'd like to know if anyone out there is running this setup and what, if any, requirements you had to run it (i.e. camber adjustments, fender rolling, other)

Wheels:
18x9+18 front on 245/40/18
18x10+22 rear on 275/40/18

Drop:
Along with a Hotchkis drop or similar (~.6"F, .8"R)

Bolt on an drive, may need a slight roll depending on the rear tires( different brands run different width)

 

I am running somewhat of a similar setup

18x9.5+24 front with 245/45/18
18x10+22 rear with 265/40/18

Only issues I am experiencing is the 245/45's up front rub whenever I take a sharp turn and step on the brakes. It mostly rub's on the inside of the suspension. I think with a smaller tire lets say 235/40 i shouldn't have those issues but i am still debating on installing a 5mm or 10mm spacer up front.

My rear is sitting on Tein S-Techs .6" and the front will be on Eibach pro kit which is about an 1" drop but i have not installed these yet.

I only have a pic of the rears. 22mm sits pretty flush.....not hellaflush but flush

 

no need to do anything past install and potentially roll your rear fender, which everyone should do anyways.

 

The rear most likely be fine but you might have to roll the front fenders. In the end however no one will know for sure until u test. I run 19X8.5 +24 19X10.5 +24 245/275 35 stock suspension and have plenty of room both front ad back but with a drop i think my fronts would rub..

 

Thanks for the pics. I ran a comparison of your setup to my prospective one and looks like the fronts should be okay -- with a 9" wheel I gain 12 mm of inner clearance and am equal on the outer clearance. I'd also be running a shorter sidewall. Checked it also against some proven setups I've seen on here (different sizes) and the offset calculator gives me more confidence about the front setup.

You're running a narrower wheel on the rear and from the pics it looks fairly tight. Not sure if the 10mm wider tire in my setup would make a big difference because of the 10" wheel width. How stretched is the 265? Do you think that's making a big difference (5mm or so ) in the clearance.

I can live with a fender roll, but would like to avoid a fender pull. Seems that's within grasp.

 

I ran 18x9 255/35 +18 & 18x10 285/35 +20 on hotchkis springs. Had ZERO issues...was running a thinner wall, but with a 255 and 285 width it didn't look like a rubber band. Didn't roll fenders till I went with coilovers.

Do you have your rear fenders rolled? Compared to your setup I would be 4mm less aggressive on the rear outer dimension with 8mm more inner clearance.

There is nothing to roll on our front fenders...

I run 18x10+25 N 18x10 +15 in the rear, tires are 255/35 n 265/35 with no issues

 

no problems on the pics.

In the rear I have plenty of space for going lower, which I plan on doing with the spring mount mod. I probably will not even need the 5mm or 10mm spacers once I do the spring mount mod.

The rear tires are Continental ExtremeContact DW. Each tire is a bit different with stretching. I think the perfect tires for stretching or adding a stretched look are the Falken 452 or 912. The only reason I ran a bigger sidewall up front is because the stock rims on the rear had Nitto NT555's on them so I just reused them. I do think the sidewall is way to high for the front. So later down the road I will probably go with a 235/40 or 245/35. I just need to do more research before I actually commit to which size I want. Plus I think its just the rubber rubbing and not the actual wheel whenever I turn so spacers in the front can be eliminated with proper size tires.

Your front setup will definitely be fine, just get correct tire size and I don't see why you should have any problems with the springs you want to install.

youll be fine... most likely will not need a roll (in fact im 99% sure you wont need a roll)... 18x10 +22 is conservative

with my eibach pro kit (lower than hotchkis) i was running 19x9.5/10.5 +22 all around with 255/35 and 285/35

now with my coilovers (set lower than the eibachs) im running 18x9.5 +12 / x10.5 +15 with 255/35 and 285/35 and no rubbing...

my fenders are rolled slightly.

 

Why are you running a 45 series front tire? That's probably why your fronts are rubbing.

45's up front is way to beefy! Bump the front to a 255/35 as oppose to 245/45. The height of the sidewall is all relative to the width of the tire. So a wider tire can run a smaller sidewall and it won't be like rubber bands.

 

had 18x9 +19, 18x10 +20 255/275

fit fine but could have gone more aggressive. I would recommend +15 all around (or just add spacers).

 

I'm running 18x9 and 18x10 +20 which isnt too far from what your looking at, as for the tires they are 245/40/18F and 275/35/19R. I did roll the fenders in the rear but rub once in a while on extreme entrances ie: parking garage. Here are Pics:

 

Very interisting, so are you runing front tires in the back of your car (275/35-18) or did you somehow mount 275/35-19's proper rear tires on 18 inch wheels, or do you actually have a 19 inch rear wheel?

 

Lol my bad.. 275/35/18. I do have a set of BBS RGR in 19's with the same tire and profile.. thanks for catching that.

 

i figured it was the 45's causing the issues. yea they look way too beefy but i just reused the rear tires that were on the stockers. i do have 235/45s that came from the front stockers that i could have used but i am also still learning about tire size and everything. have to make mistakes so you can learn. but it will be changed in the future. normal straight driving i have no rubbing issues. its just whenever i take a turn really sharp and have the brake on which is hardly ever that i do this.
