Default I want a meaty 18" fitment.

So the wheels, 18x9/18x10 f/r ET20.

265/35/18 up front, 295/35/18 out back. ~1" drop planned.

I'm more than willing to roll the fenders to space the wheels out for a more aggressive fitment. Suggestions?

295/35 is too much. do 295/30 or 285/35.
265/35 works in the front easy. that what i have.

^wow anything more than a 255 front and 285 rear would buldge past the tire quite i bit, especially if you they run wide like kdw's. remember 9" wide is only about 225mm and 10" only about 255mm. what rotas did you get?

A 265 is standard on a 9" wheel, a 275 is more than acceptable also. Many people run 275s on 9" wheels and it fits quite nicely.

265/35 and 295/30 will effect VDC. 285/35 or 295/35 rear would be ok, with some trimming.

Mine is pretty much flush in line with the fender (not "hellaflush") basically +15 rpf1 9" wide, 275 star specs, -2.1 camber, and 1" drop.

275/35 front 295/35 rear , its a proven wide tire setup that handles great.

Considering the SVN. Not dropping money on SSRs/Works like I did on my past BMWs so I can be constantly worried about theives/potholes/etc.

Thanks for confirming what I've read so far. I'm also considering 265/285.

Any input on the spacer question? I will MOST likely run the KDW2, if that helps anyone.

For a solid track setup, 275/35/18 front, 285/35/18 rear on Bridgestone RE11's is great. Its teh setup Ill have next. Currently I have 265/35 and 275/35. I can use a little more grip.

Are we talking about a tire/wheel setup for the track or the street?

I have little experience with wide front tires. I have 245’s on my front, and have only driven front 275’s for short test runs on a couple of friends’ cars (both were coupes with stock suspension). I didn’t like the way 275’s ran on the street. The steering felt heavy, and the wide fronts seemed to grab every irregularity on the road’s surface resulting in unwanted tracking and the necessary correction.

Certainly my opinion may be flawed by the tire brand, the car’s suspension, or the fact I don’t run on the track. It’s just something I notice with wide front tires and would like to hear your advice.

I respect your opinion so you have the final word.
