RPF1 17x9.5 +18 w/ 275/40's All Around?
I have done quite a bit of research on the RPF1's and only have a few questions left thanks to many people on this site, i really appriciate all the effort those people have taken to educate me!
My main concern about the RPF1 in this offset/width is rubbing issues.
- I have seen people with no problems running these wheels but their car is not yet lowered
- For the people who run these with a drop "for track" usually have a -3.00 camber, this kind of camber used on the street is just rediculous for tire life even when rotating, this is my guess... no one has told me how long a tire would last while running this set up.
Question: Where is the point of rubbing? How far can i drop before rolling the fenders and adjusting my camber?
I guess i could also go with a 17x9 +22, but the only problem there is the clearance for the Brembos or any other bbk i might install in the future..
So i could run a spacer...

I would think you'd be ok with that width and offset and a small amt of camber. Worst case scenario you might need a mild fender roll. Any rubbing that would occur would be the top lip of the fender. The car comes stock with 18x8.0 +30 Front and 18x8.5 +33 Rear (2007)
I really plan on running a totally square setup but i am mostly going to be on the street with this car not the track, if i were to run anything bigger than 9.5 in the front i would have to run with some serious negative camber which is a no go. I rather run close to 0 degree camber and when i am going to the track i can always put myself into the negatives. But i need to know how low i can go...

The 17x10s that work are the 5Zigen FN01R-C in the +25 offset. They clear with 275s without needing any crazy camber.
The problem, in my opinion, is assuring that the RPF1 wheels will clear a larger than non-Brembo brake kit. The 17" RPF1s have a funky design in the barrel right behind the spokes of the wheel - a spacer will not always solve that problem if the intent is to have a 275 tire. If you move to the 18" RPF1, all those problems go away, as it does with most other 17" wheels (SSR Comps, MB Weapons, 5Zigens, etc., etc.)
My last pair of wheels were 17x9.5 +31 (or 34?) SSR Comps with 275s all around. I never tried, but I wouldn't think they would have worked in the front had the fronts been "out" an additional 1/2" (13-16mm delta with your and my offsets). When you lower it, that'll add some static camber naturally, it'd be a shame to dial that part out of it, in my opinion. Just confirm the toe is in spec.

If you have a -2.00 degree camber how would your toe adjustment give you more even tire ware?

Not to be off topic but for example:
What about the 5zigen FN01R-C 17x9 +35 this will stick out 8mm more than the stock wheels, id say that's pretty safe... Although id rather run the +15 offset which would land me at 28mm more.
p.s. i extremely hate looking for THE wheel.

A 17x10 +25 "sticks out" (i.e. comparing the outer most face/lip of the wheel) ~6mm more than the the 17x9.5 +18. When I ran BIG 275s, it was very close to rubbing on the inside.
This is true! And I'm on my way to running 295/30/18s next!
And ive seen these wheels clear the stock brembos.
Why not go with these?
(Im really shooting for a 17" because of price and weight)

I had the same logic, and am happy with my change to 18s (18x10s all around for track, 18x9s for autox).
Yes, but that doesn't mean the barrel of the wheel on the RPF1s will fit w/o a spacer. I think the lower offset wheels are ok, but I'm being cautious because the math didn't workout as expected on a few sets I've seen.

Ugh maybe ill just go with the 5zigen FN01R-C 17x9 +15, This only sticks out 28mm more in the front and 24mm more in the rear (compared to stock)
compared to a RPF1 17x9.5+18 which is 31mm more in the front and 28mm rear.
Plus the 17" FN01R-C's are cheaper and im almost possitive ive seen them clear bbk's, only downfall would be they are like 1-2 lbs heavier than the RPF1's.

Honestly, they 17x9.5 +18 RPF1s may work. I am just being cautious because I've seen the higher offset ones not work due to the funky barrel design.

I run MB WEAPON 17X9 WHEELS.
Usually I run:
FRONT:
17x9 +27 with 275/40/17 R comps
REAR:
17x9 +17 with 275/40/17 R comps
May also see the MB Competitions...
