Question Nismo S-Tune vs. Others

Should I get Nismo S-Tuned suspension or something like Tein coilovers? What is a better product for the Z. Dose Nismo suspension lowers the car, and if yes how much?
I was considering Eibach springs to lower the car a little but after talking to a couple of guy's in the performance shop got convinced that I should not go the cheap rout but rather spend the money and get the best setup for the performance sake. As I have no idea about Z's suspension upgrades, any help would be appreciated.

I would never get the NISMO G-Attack even though I know it performs great. Why? Because it is too pricey, for the price of the G-Attack you can get a full coilover setup which has adjustability that the NISMO doesn't. The NISMO lowers the car but not much, I didn't even notice when I saw it.

it depends how you drive....i had coilovers in my supercharged max...it handled great but it was a harsh ride over bumps...the nismo has great response...while giving a nice joyful ride when need be...

i wished the drop was at least 1in..but i can live with it...

S-Tune $1300 vs. say Tein Flex for $1650. How are they "pricier" then the coilovers? Or am I missing something?

greddy, in detail, how different is the ride quality than stock. How much harsher are bumps...does it skip over rough patches much more ect.

for starters, the extra lil bounce in the stock suspension is eliminated. understeer gone...you point the nose where you want to go and you're there. it is def not as stiff as any coilovers...but it is stiffer then stock, enuff to feel it. i felt more confident taking curves at higher speeds...less body roll.

when i go over bumps it doesn't bounce but at the same time you don't feel the harsh "bang" with stiffer shocks...

i like these cuz i only paid 1130 for them but most importantly, i have nice comfortable ride and when need be, the confidence to take a curve at 70mph...

the drop gives me room for a lip and not have to worry about going up on driveways...so...hope this helps....

Will the more neutral setup make the rear tires more likely to break loose in a stright line?

Does the S-tune make a tail spin harder to correct? With stock, when stabbing the throtle in second comming around a corner, the tail wil come out: simply gige a little counter lock and lift the throttle and shes right back in line. Really fun since its easy to correct.

well with the VDC, the rear doesn't really come out....at high speed w/vdc...once i'm on the throttle out of the turn..i step on it and the back kicks out just a hint but as you said its easy to correct...its just a lil harder to do with the vdc...(i think thats what you are asking)

when u take the car into a turn..its really smooth...not as easy to kick the back out...

Just curious—do you have to have a Nissan dealer install the S-Tune suspension to have it covered under warranty?

WOO HOO!

Can you post a link or let us know where you heard it was now released for VDC equipped cars? I know Jeff stated they installed quite a few with no problems, but if NISMO has said it officially, I'll be ordering as well.

(Is the kit exactly the same? SAme part numbers for VDC / Non VDC?)

with it VDC off...still easy to control...it def holds tighter in the turns..for sure...but the when the back does go out...you will feel more confident handling it...but that is in most cases, esp with coilivers...(i would think at least)

yeah, you need the dealer to install if you want the warranty...

also..i have VDC...np with anything...
