Patchable?

Patchable?
I just got by a piece of wood on the freeway. I know anything over .50 inch is pretty much beyond repair and most shops won't patch something like this but thought I'd get some opinions.
Worst thing is that this tire is less then 3 weeks old. Horrible way to start this Memorial day weekend.

Well crap… only 3 weeks old.
The best repair is accomplished with a plug, and maybe combined with a patch. But, plugs are designed for round puncture wounds. Your wound is more like a slash, making repair more difficult.
Punctures from wood rarely penetrate all the way through a tire, so maybe it’s repairable. I’m not sure how you accomplish a repair on a partial slash.
I agree with David…
… And just keep a close watch on the pressure. You really have little to lose trying this.

I'm pretty sure it went all the way through. When I walked outside today, the tire was almost totally flat with maybe 10psi of air in it. I then filled it up with air and it got flat again after 10 minutes. Air was gushing out of it and you could noticeably hear it.
I tried to take the piece of wood out but it was in there deep and wouldn't budge at all.

^^ Wow . It sounds like the wood splinter was something like White Oak with an exposed sharp edge. That means you have a rectangular wound, and it's probably not easily repaired. You are probably looking at a new tire. Hopefully you purchased the "Road Hazard Option."
You have the worst luck. For sure do not go to a Casino for the next month.

I'll wait until after June 28th to go to the casino though. Good advice and I'll bet it all on black!
