Default VDC reset after dealer alignment?

so i just installed some new bigger tires on my 07GT (still within the appropriate proportions so it won't throw off the VDC), and am looking to get it aligned. local dealer quoted me $100 for the mechanical portion only, a little pricey, but they'd want to charge another $60 to reset the VDC afterwards. pointless? i've had my Z aligned only once before by another nissan dealer (one that sold GT-R's), and they charged the same $100 for the mech alignment but never mentioned any sort of VDC reset, or it might have been included. any thoughts?

edit: my VDC is working fine, and never mentioned that i have bigger tires either, so no idea why they suggested it.

I did a quick search and it looks like this is done free of charge by the dealer.....on PATHFINDERS. Maybe something to do with 4X4 or something.

eh, the dealer is like a few blocks away from my apt and i have to get them to check out my a/c anyway, so i figured i'd get it all done at the same time.

Exactly!!! There's no such thing as a VDC reset on a 350Z.

Stealership is full of BS and trying rip you off by doing an unnecessary ECU reset I'd guess. FTL. Take it to a Firestone and get a lifetime alignment for $140 or less, they always seem to have coupons in the mail/online. The Z doesn't hold an alignment worth squat and it pays for itself the 2nd time. Firestone even recommends it every 5K miles unless it seems to hold an alignment. It's a loss leader for them to get you in for other services but works out great for Z owners.

hmm yeah i've heard of the firestone alignments, might go with that in the future... anyway it's a non-issue cuz my shop found the cause of the a/c leak so screw the dealer once again, haha. thanks guys
