Default Need some Wheel help

So I'm sure this is a scrub question (as many of mine seem to be) but I'd feel more comfortable asking now then never. SO that being said I'm looking into purchasing a set of Enkei RPF1's. I'm driving an '04 performance edition Z. My question would be keeping an 18" diameter, what speccs would you guys recommend and why. What are the downfalls to different widths / staggered setups. I believe the OEM wheels on it are 18x8 all around with the +30mm offset. Would there be any benefit to going 18x9.5 all around and / or should I keep the 18x8 (I live in UT where it snows like a mother please keep in mind) So no traction control in this wheels would be what I rely on pretty much. So with recommendations I would appreciate what I should know about each (tire cost being more or less, etc.) anything in the long run really. I would appreciate the help from any of you experts out there.

PS/ I have been reading as much as possible on this site but hard to find some specific information regarding this.

You plan to keep the OEM wheels for snow?

invest in some winter tires/wheels.
I live in Chicago so it snows bad here and I invested in some winter tires/wheels before I got a nice summer set and I suggest you do the same.
Im currently running Enkei RPF1's 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5+15 with tire sizes being 245/40/18 and 275/40/18(Tires are Falken 452's). I'm dropped on Tanabe GF210's and I find this is the perfect setup for me in the summer
Edit: Price wise I got my wheels/tires for under 2k shipped

I would love to be able to keep my OEM tires for snow. However, there's a relatively new set of Potenzas on these things actually. OEM size tires obviously would these be transferrable to 18x8.5 f and 18x9.5 r ??

PS/ I do appreciate the responses.

Also that's a niiice setup. Are those blue meteki lugs on those? That's actually what I had in mind but I'm in a Chrome Silver. Still think it would match nice. That or green.. hm haha. So under 2k you got wheels/setup from where? Also any ideas on where I could look for a good deal on these things? I was also looking at the Work XPD9s but I am so leaning towards the RPF1's there's just something about em. I like the deep concave of the XPD9's but even the minor bit of the RPF1's are just ahh, cleaner looking to me.

Whatever you do... Do NOT drive in the snow with OEM tires... It's a horrible experience... I would suggest spending $400+ on some snow tires/wheels before you get summer wheels/tires like I said earlier..
Your 225/45/18 on 8.5 wheels should be fine..(225 millimeters = 8.85826772 inches) I'm not to sure on the sidewall height but I think you will be fine. Your 245 on the 9.5 should be fine as well(245 millimeters = 9.64566929 inches)...

Well I'm kind of lucky enough to still have a Quattro TT sitting in the garage for bad snow days and/or a Denali (live with parents). So then for the situation if those tires work on the new wheels I could actually look into purchasing a set of snow tires for the OEM rims instead of the Enkei's and swap the Potenzas to the Enkei's..? Also for the TPMS then I would have to purchase a new set correct? No idea how much that can run.

Your plan is conflicting. Summer tires - wide wheels - snow. This is not going to work.

I mean oem wheels for snow not tires. Yeah best bet would probablly be to try to sell the oem tires and buy a set of winter tires for the oem wheels as well. Just would need some suggestions on the winter tire setup then haha.

Get some Blizzaks.. I would probably get 225/45/18 and 245/45/18.. (I think I'm not to sure because I have 17" wheels for my snow tires)

You can buy TPMS sending units at Tire Rack. Purchase plus installation plus dealer set up is $200 plus. Not worth the expense. Just drive with warning light ON. No big deal.

I have another question for you guys..

Going with WORK XD9's

18" diameter still

i believe 9" front width and 10" rear (pretty low + offset unsure what exact i think +18 front +20 rear or something)

Can I use the current tires I have on my stock rims for those or would they stretch too much? Noob question sure but would help to know.

These are the same size as 2007 Nismo Rims. Look at OEM tires for these wheels.
