I need help can someone explain to me how the sizes work.

I have a 04 touring nonbrembo.

I want some 18's

235/9.5 (what does that mean)

More important than your question about width is offset. Search...

 

Front 18" x 8.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 245/40/18
Rear 18" x 9.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 275/40/18

18x8.5 is the rim diameter and width the +15/+25 is the offset. For instance lower the offest the more sick it looks... its that simple. If you intend on lowering the car and rock the wheels mentioned (+15 offset) your going to have to roll the fenders. You might want to search this forum about this topic, You'll find info on what Z's can pull off in regards to size, width, and of course offset. Mine are 18x9 +20 and 18x10 +20 and it sits nicely.
