Just going back to the "xxr's are cheap and break" thing.

Here is my legacy wagon after an OEM SUBARU wheels (00 Outback sport wheels) shattered just like a "cheap" wheel...

That is a wheel that was in perfect condition, but hit a curb sideways (not me driving) and shattered.

I've had a bunch of sets of XXR's/rotas, as well as Work Emotions/BBS/Enkei and I wouldn't choose any of them as being any less prone to breaking based off of potholes and stuff I've hit over time. Could they? Sure.

The only thing I hate about fake wheels is gas mileage being cut by having a heavy rotating mass, as well as 0-60 time being hurt- My Miata on 14x6 BBS (8.2lbs each, 195 tires) vs the same car on 15x7.5 Konig rollers (13.4 lbs, 205 tires) went from 32mpg to around 29mpg (to be fair, old tires were all-seasons, new ones are Kumho XS, prolly most of the difference)

When I drop it and correct my camber I'll def rub with 275s on the back. From what I've seen and heard this is the right set up for wht I'm lookin for. Hope it works out in the end.

So I got these wheels last night, drive maybe 15 miles on them. They are 18 x 10.5 square setup, 255 tires, chromium black. Small stretch to be safe. I think 275 would be OK, but wanted to be safe with 255.

I had no time to correct my suspension or camber on my car driving home, the setup before was for my 19's with spacers.

Overall I am happy with the wheels. The offsets are not the best but close to flush. You can see in the pics, the fronts are pretty good. The rears MAY be good with 5MM or so, but hard to tell because of my camber.

Anyways, I hope my picture helps those on the fence with there. I labeled them accordingly. Please let me know if you have any questions.

And yes I know I can go lower, but as I stated, I didnt have time and was to lazy to adjust my Coils. Plus I may just end up selling these to make up for all the money I spent buying gifts for xmas

For those who may ask, I am dropped on F&F Type 2, these could pretty much drop to the floor. SPC fronts dialed to pretty much factory, rears or -3 degrees + I cant recall exactly.

It seems like you are going for a stretched and stanced look, and they run stretched tires because their rims poke out so that with proper camber and the right stretch on the tire, they can clear the fenders. Your car would be perfectly fine with a 275 in the rear, and easily a 255 in front, and I can see you have not rolled your fenders yet. Ktran ran big spacers to get the look he had with those wheels

i understand tht. its a work in progress... i just put them on to get a couple of shots before i put it away for the winter. i am getting the fenders rolled (back at least), droping the car and putting spacers on. im not going as agressive as ktran but somewhr close. hope to get it all done by the end of march.

XXR 526
Front: 18 x 9 Gloss Black Offset 25mm 265 x 35 x 18 BF Goodrich KDW 2's
Rear: 18 x 10.5 Gloss Black Offset 20mm 295 x 35 x 18 BF Goodrich KDW 2's

I have Tein Coilovers on all corners and SPC Camber kits front and rear.

I have tried different ride heights, different wheels, different spacers, and different alignment settings over the last 7 years. IMO what I have now works the best for me.

Would someone be kind enough with 18x9.75 XXR 527's to post up pictures of their ride?

There are only two pictures of this in the entire thread on a Z and its a complete side shot on a non-flat driveway so its extremely difficult to have an idea of what these look like.

Would greatly appreciate it, Thanks
