Question Weird sound from after martket rims and tires???

Hi everyone yesterday i bought some rims and tires for my yellow z. The rims are made by "xxr" 962 staggered model i bilieve and the tires are "sunny tires". They are balanced and they look real nice but after i go 40 miles a hour they start making a weird noise in the front tires!! Not sure if its because the tires are like new probably driven 100 miles the person who sold them to me but he says they didn't make any noise on his car! The front tires are 235/35/19 and rears are 245/35/19...the tires dont have bumps or nothing at all and the rims are in excellent condition! Anyone have any idea what it can be???? Please help me

A better description of the noise may help.

I doubt any recording device will pick up the subtle sounds of a problem over all the road noise. Assuming they are new tires, it shouldn't be a problem of irregular wear, out of round, out of balance, etc.

Take it to a shop and get the alignment checked and have a experienced pro listen to it.

Well that depends how loud it is, doesn't it? It's worth a shot. You won't know if you never try.

maybe they messed up with the rotation of the tire when they mounted them...

I rotated them twice after mounting them to see if the noise would go away but it doesn't and it only does it after 40 miles per hour!! It doesn't slow the car down its just the noise is annoying!! I have brembo brakes but the rims clear the brembos! And the tires dont rub what so ever! What can it possibly be??

I had a similar issue with a wheel and it was due to a slight bend in one of them.

It was really hard to notice visually but after 35mph it would shake slightly and make a strange noise.

Nothing really we can do for you here without pics.

I think he meant they are directional tires, meaning they were mounting in the wrong direction. Maybe you put the rears on the front and the front on the rears?

Are you sure they're torqued down to spec? I believe it's somewhere around 88 lb.ft?

Also, double check if the wheels are seated completely on the hub!

Simple things to check, but i've seen it happen before

The lack of hub rings might cause vibration from the wheels, not too sure how much noise that would make. OP ought to recognize vibration.
