I'm no expert on offsets, but yes the stock offsets for the 18 x 8 wheel on both the "Z" and the "G" is 30mm. I have a set of Nismo 18s 8.5" front and 9.5" rear. the offsets are 25mm front and 30mm rear. The 25mm front coupled with the .5" wider width means that the front wheel edge sits out about .5" further than before (1/2 the .5" width increase plus the added 5mm offset). The rear sits out about .75" further than before (1/2 the added width of 1.5" with no added offset) Personally I would not want them out any further, but that's just my opinion.

I don't know the widths of your wheels, so I really can't comment on your situation, except to say the offset is 8mm more than stock. Which means that if the widths were identical to stock the edge of the wheel would sit further in by between .25 to .5". Positive offset means the wheel edge sits further in.

This is confusing because of the positive/negative thing and because wheels and tires are the only components measured in both the common inches/feet measurement system and the metric system. The wheel diameter of wheels and tires is inches, the width of a tire is metric. The diameter of a wheel is inches, the width is inches, but the offset is metric.

As said above the stock 18s are 8" wide at all four corners. The 17s are 7.5" front and 8" rear. No "Z" wheel is 7" wide. What do you mean by "gotcha?"

You asked a question, I'm trying to help.

Can u post pics when installed. These are not bad wheels for the price. Did u get silver or gunmetal?

I think offsets are 29mm. I have ADR M-sports with 35 mm offset and the wheel is slightly tucked behind the rear fender. The lower the number the more flushed out to the fender it is. I think this is rite? U might have to use spacers to get the rear wheels to come out more...

try asking Todd from Discount Direct...hes got a thread on all of this.

opposite
+40 is closer to engine than +30. +30 is closer to fender than +40.

Hopefully, I'm not hurting anyone's feelings here, but this is one of the best car specific wheel/tire FAQ's around -
