This is from the aggressive stretch thread...
I decided to make a thread in order to pinpoint everyones replies to the advice i'm seeking, in the aggressive stretch thread i posted the following:
oh wheel guru's of my350z.com....I need some assistance for the one who r ballin'. Looking at a set of 19x9.5+24 f/ and 19x11+17 r rims, from my understanding of stretch and fat tires, i'm looking for a look in between meaning i don't want my rear lip to stick out with no tire over it. I'm looking for the middle in mild to agressive stance to go with my coilovers. I've been qouted for a 255/35/19 f and 285/35/19 r, would this achieve what i'm looking for or should i go with 245/35/19 f and 275/35/19 r. Note that the tires i'll be using are hankook evo12's
Ah, well reason those sizes are there is cuz the roads in hawaii are pot hole ridden and I also would like to take it to auto-x once in awhile, yes I've been told about how this makes no sense, but i'd like a comfortable amount of grip during my DD days when i use the Z but still have a sleek look to it in a way, but i'm def not going for SUPER aggressive, thats a def no no for me

Personally I would go with a 295 or a 305, but it's all about taste. I'm just saying if your wheel is 279 mm wide, why go with a tire smaller in width. The stretched thing never will make sense to me, but it does to some.
Like stated above all these responses are just gonna be a free-for-all. Go with a tire you feel comfortable with op.

It depends what you want man, a 305 is a perfect tire size for an 11 inch rim(no stretch and not wide), you can fit a 335 on there if you want the wide tires look. Or a 275 for the stretch look.

285 will be square. 275 will be a super slight stretch. if you want the stretched look get 265. 245 will pretty much be square. i'd go with a 235 up front. but that will look kinda goofy. stretched tires without fitment look weird. throw some 15-20mm spacers on front and it'll be nice.

its going to mostly depend on the brand and model tire you choose. i have an 11" rear wheel and once ran a 275/30/19 bfg kdw that showed some rim poke, but a 255/35/19 michelin ps2 had no rim poke. some sidewalls are stiffer than others. hwcustoms is right if you want stretch without poke dont get a tire smaller than the wheel. i suggest 245/35 f 275/35 r (you probably wanna stay away from falken 452 they poke more rim than stretch) personally i like my rim to poke a little i now run a 245 on my 11

i have 9.5 255 35 up front and 10.5 285 30 in back and to me that looks stretched im prob gonna try a 305 in the rear and 275 up front. my old wheels were 8.5 245 35 9.5 275 35 and that was perfect. hope this helps

You could run a 255/35 on the rear of the 11, its a bit of a conservative stretch and what I'm running at the moment. If thats a bit much for you still then consider like a 275 maybe.
best pic I can find at the moment of my rear from this spring before spacers, they are 255/35/19's General Exclaim UHP
