This is not about us showing off what we got my dude but dont put me down that bad with the replicas son hahah. I havent made fun of what you got have i? lol.. chillaxxxzzz son! lets take it easy and lets focus on the thread's main point?
First of all, I don't want these comments to be negative, so please don't take them that way.
The z33 is becoming more accessible, but to some of us we didn't buy 9k dollar 100k mile z. Some of us bought our cars new and paid 28-36k for them. I'm not saying buying used is bad, but when some of us started modding this platform, it was a smaller group. I do understand that buying a 4k dollar set of wheels for a 9k dollar car does not make sense to some now, but that's not always been the case.
It's pretty disheartening to hear some of you all talk about our cars like you do. All I keep hearing is its just a z, and your right. No its not a ferrari, but i think that we are all intelligent enough to figure that out. But its not a second hand beater either and when people were buying them new they were putting high end sets of wheels on left and right. I guess now when you can get a used z for 9k the luster is somewhat gone. Once again nothing wrong with this, just different times. But when I bought mine I was in love and wanted to put a nice set of wheels on it. To some it might not make sense, but I wanted to use nice parts on a nice car. I still love my Z after almost 6 years of ownership and will continue modding it. I hope that most of you feel the same.
Buy whatever you want for your own car, but don't downplay what you have . The z33 is a great car and should be treated that way. I'm not saying you have to roll volks, and I'm not saying you can't rock replicas. I'm just tired of hearing it's just a z, it's not a Ferrari. If you don't think it's a great car why do you have it? If you settled when you bought it you are probably not happy in the first place. Whatever you paid for your car be proud of it, and mod it to your tastes and budget. And remember no matter what you do to your car, it only matters if your happy in the end.

Personally to be on topic, Id rather buy used quality wheels at a reasonable price then buy new knock offs.
I'm with you, Flo-Rida. I have two Invicta's and only ignorant fools think they are knock-offs or replicas. Invicta made the watch as a tribute to the Submariner's awesomeness and to give people who aren't ready to shell-out $4,000 a great watch.
I recently purchases an Invicta 9938 (Blue, Gold, Silver toned) and this one actually has a Swiss movement and other improvements.
If they were knock-off's or replica's, then they would actually say 'Rolex' on them.

So, after all this nonsense, I have a question: Why do people care so much about how other people spend their money or what rims they have? I can see if someone slap Volk stickers on non-Volk wheels and tries to pass them off as the real deal, but if someone buys Rotas, who gives a crap?
If the "replicas" are of poor quality and break all the time (which isn't true), then that is something that the buyer will have to deal with, Volk stock doesn't go down because "replica" wheels bend when they hit a pothole.
Sounds like a bunch of crybabies who spent a bunch of money on Volks, Works, Advans for the look and the name, who are now seeing people get the same look for less money.
If you don't drive a car made by the very first car company ever, then you are driving a knock off.
See how stupid that sounds?

Yeah, ummm, TE's arent selling for any less. at all. There are hardly any for sale anyway. Also, I just got a quote on Varrs 18's for winter wheels and I was alittle surprised. They are at least 25% more than Rotas, if not quite a bit more.
In fact, at the price Varrs distributors are asking per wheel, there's no reason Rays couldnt have made this wheel in a cast Gramlight in the $350-400 range and made it much harder for Varrs to do so well... and allowing Varrs to make just about every fitment imaginable. Rays could easy address this problem by meeting market demand, and I seriously doubt it would affect their forged TE sales much at all.

I still don't really see what the big deal is, if its what you want, can afford , whatever, its all good to me.

Why the F do you all care so much about what OTHER ppl do to THEIR cars. Its THEIR property and they can do whatever they want. Why would you care if someone buys a replica be it Varrs, Rota, Linea Corsa, or w/e. Also I don't buy the bs argument about replicas taking away sales from the oh sooo hard working ooh soooo poor folks at VOLK, The price difference between the reps and the real thing is so huge (literally 4 times as much in some cases) that they aren't really even applying to the same customer base.
My next set of wheels will be linea corsas and honestly after seeing the hateful #hit spewed from a few members (and its is just a few unlike the majority they claim) on this forum about reps I just might put BBS caps on them and post a nice huge thread with tons of pics, most importantly because its MY CAR and because I CAN.
