19" to 18" issue? (winter package)
Hi guys,
Quick question, sorry for the ignorance but want to make sure I won't have an issue:
I have a 2007 Grand Touring with the stock front 245/40/18 and rear 265/35/19. I am purchasing an all 18 inch winter rim/tire package.
Will the drop to 18's on the rear drop the rear of my car by an inch and if so will that be an issue?
Thank you in advance
ps. probably getting ASA GT1's

JJA - as long as you run the appropriate size tire on the 18 wheel it will not (should not) change the overall diameter of the size at all.
edit - here's a great website to ensure you run the appropriate size.

My 06 runs a 245/45/18 on the rear stock.

Thank you for the responses. What is your front tire size, the same or is it 245/40...?

I like the look asthetically of 18's.
I live in Vancouver and we typically do not get that many snow days, but still need a dedicated winter rubber for when it does.
I am unceratin as to whether or not 17's would clear the Brembo's.
Also, a friend of mine gets a discount via tirerack and I can get a great deal on an 18" rim/winter tire package so why not!
Thank you for all the input. I think I will go with the "stock" size of 225/45/18 + 245/45/18. I'll post a pic with the rims on next week, I think it will look great.
