Default Little bend in rim.

Do you guys think this bend is bad enough to take it and have it repaired? Theres a slight vibration above 80mph. Maybe I could just take it and have it rebalanced? I don't really care about cosmetics as these are just a spare set anways.

i have the same issue.. it only will cost me about 120 bucks to have it fixed.. and the vibration around 74-81 mph is super annoying.
Id get it fixed. It usualy a 3 hour process.. done fairly quickly.

If it's enough to give you a vibration then I would get it fixed.

Did you have it done locally or did you ship the wheel off? I've looked into both options. I'm kind of skeptical about the local option.

ill let you know when i get around to doing it.
I will have az true wheel do the work, im sure it will be just fine. Its not highly technical work, just takes the right tools etc.

Perfect man thanks! Here is an updated pic with the bead broke on the tire. It looks like it's just the lip. Would I be able to hammer it out myself with a plastic mallet or am I asking for a disaster?

Seriously? $120? Buy new rims, you don't need Volks, get something classy and tasteful, Mine were $160 a rim MB Battles, 18x9.5 +15 and they look and perform great and only weigh 23lbs

I would not trust this wheel tire at 80 MPH. These are OEM Track wheels? Can you buy them on eBay?

That is too bad. No one around here will touch it for less than at least 120. I looked on ebay at individual wheels. One costs more than I picked up the whole set for lol.

I fix wheels for a living. A bend like that is caused from a side impact which 80% of the time bends the axis (nearest spoke) causing the wheel to move side to side. In most cases this type of damage is non repairable. If you are near Akron PM me. A tech out there ships me wheels to fix.
