Default Question about Spacers

So I've been looking into getting some spacers for my Z. But to be honest I have no idea where to begin when it comes to what brand or size I should be going with.

The thing is that I have aftermarket rims for the car and the stock one's that I use in winter. So I would like to get some that fit well on both the sets. The stock rims sit way inside the wheel well for my liking, so the spacers should fix that problem. The aftermarket one's sit nicely but I wouldn't mind if they stick further out. The car is on stock height, so I don't think I will need to roll the fenders or anything although I am not too sure.

I am going to attach some pictures of the car with both the aftermarket rims and the stock rims, so that you guys can have an idea about what I am talking about. And possibly be able to make some recommendation as to the size of spacers I should be looking at.

Thanks.

Measure the distance between the edge of the tire and fender. How far do you want to move the tire? 10mm? 20mm? 30mm? There you go.

^Oh wow everything seems so complicated and so much hassle from that thread. lol

Making me re-think the whole idea now. I thought it was as simple as getting whatever width spacers you want and slipping it behind the wheel and putting the wheel back on. But it seems like there a lot more to it than that. I think the problem for me comes when I want spacers wide enough to be made workable with my both OEM wheels and aftermarket set. I wouldn't mind the aftermarket set to sit out of the wheel well after spacers which it deff will just not sure how much is the right amount. Cause I want the OEM wheels to sit at-least right at the wheel well.

Haha it was snowed pretty bad that time and it had been really dirty. No point washing it when it's still snowing all the time, so i just let it sit and chill out.

Here's a cleaner picture then. Mostly in the winters I drive the X5 so it was dirty and I just let it sit. The Z is clean is because that's just when I had bought it.
