Default painting VR SF challange

i know i'll get flamed for this but:

I have the following rims on my car: (pic of the rims off some random site/car..)

http://www.superstreetonline.com/fea.../photo_10.html

is it possible to paint the rest of the rim dark gray/black to match the inner spokes? getting a bit over the chrome look on the car.

I like the wheels. Gold might give the car some bling.

Thanks man. Actually thinking of matching the gunmetal spike colors to the rest of the wheel, or all black.

if you powder coat your barrels be sure to get a TA stripe...your rims will look like 17"s as mine did above.

edit: waizzz ya beat me to it...they looked small before I added the gold TA strip.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by TA stripe, is it the outer part of the rim?

TA = Time Attack = a style of wheels that has a brightly colored (typically red) strip going around the outer diameter of the wheel rim, where the tire meets the wheel. The brightly colored stripe defines / accentuates the OD of the rim. The worry with painting your wheel lips black is that the lip color blends with the tire color and the net effect is that your tires appear to be thicker as though you had a smaller wheel diameter.

I see what they are saying, but I'm still not sure I like the TA stripe on SF Challenges.

just combine two colors that would actually look good with whatever color your Z is.
