Tire fitment question
So heres the deal, I have almost brand new 245/45/R18 tires on the rear. I now need to get new tires for the front. Would i be able to put the 245s on the front rim and put 265/40/R18s on the rear?
I have the stock 08 rims.
Any help would be greatly appreciated especially since this is my first sports car.

Yes, leave your 245/45-18” tires on the rear and put 245/40-18” tires on the front.
I’ve run this setup (245/40-18” front with 245/45-18” rear) and it provides great handling since the front 245’s turn-in much better than the stock 225’s on the front (which has more under-steer).
The caveat is that rear tires wear more quickly than the fronts on a RWD car. That means your perfectly balanced neutral-steer will slowly migrate towards over-steer as the 245’s on the rear wear more quickly than the 245’s on the front. Over-steer results in tricky handling.
Do this: Install 245/40-18” on the front, and as soon as you begin noticing any over-steer as your 245/45-18” rears wear, replace the rears with 265/40-18”. If your rear wheels are 18x8.5”, I think you should be OK with 265’s on the rear.
