Rotating S-03 tyres
A currently have a set of Bridgestone S-03 tyres on my Z. The fronts are fine but the rears are starting to get a little uneven wear (camber). Inside is prolly 2mm above the wear indicator. Shoulder is roughly 5mm above wear indicator.
Google has told me that my tyres are directional and not asymetrical and therefore my logic tells me that I should be able to remove the tyre from the wheel and move it to the other side of the car to even out the wear and not compromise safety/performance.
Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

This would only be an issue if I did not have the tyre rotating in its intended direction though? As I'm physically removing the tyre the direction will be the same.

If I look towards the back of the car I'd see this before and after the swap.

Unfortunately for me it didn't matter in the end and I came home like this

All thanks to this little baby (which could have been fixed) but the crumbling sidewall has put the tyre to the the scrapyard.

I guess its time to hit up the forum sponsor Tirerack for some replacement tyres. I've always been told to run the same pattern tyre front and rear. Guy at the tyre centre said its not necessary front and rear (particularly on performance cars given rear wear) but must keep left/right same at front and back. I just bought a house so not really keen on cost of 4 new tyres. What are people's thoughts? Ok just to replace the rears?
Currently swapping wheels for my stockies in the meantime but the tread on these are nearly shot too.
To confirm - this is correct. S-03 tyres are not inside/outside dependant and CAN be rotated as described in this thread.

Replacing just the rears is no prob. I'd help you with tires, but shipping to AUS - yikes! Aren't there any local sources besides TR?
