Rick emailed me pics of the wheels! I was all teary eyed with joy! Mayn, 11 months! Finally!

 

Seems like everyone is getting what they wanted. . As for me, I'm still waiting for my refund. That is all I ask for. . I have called many times but no response.

i know some of you guys got your wheels already, but by this time shouldnt he done as a sponsor by now?? I mean anyone including me that has ever even come by this thread and read it will never order thru him.

i understand where you are coming from

and i have spoken to Rick about this exact issue

it boils down to either siding with one of two views

1- people will judge Rick & Vip by 7 years of great service over 1 year of poor service , and still buy from him

2- people will judge him for one year of bad service over seven years of great service and not buy from him


for what i paid for the wheels when all is said and done is to low of a price to post publicly on a forum , and he bent over backwards sending me loaner wheels, sending me free stuff, discounting heavily , paying freight back and forth


i am not trying to glorify him only stating what transpired between him and I

i like Rick and he is a very nice guy

was there down right bad communiction YES
could he have done things better YES

i will continue to buy from Rick if i need something

 

^^^ you bring up those two excellent points. However the truth must be known and a fair warning should be in place for future buyers. I too fell in the same trap you guys are in. I ordered a set of custom wheels from Rick and after 8 months of "NOTHING" I cancelled my order and got my money back. I went on the "FS" sections and scored 2 different sets of nice and aggressive wheels.

Every case is different and nothing can be done to prevent this type of thing from happening again. My guess is that once you guys get your wheels this thread will be closed and that will be the end of the story until another 7-10 unlucky buyers fall in the same predicament.

Nevertheless, good luck to all of you and hope to see you rolling with your new wheels pretty soon and post up pictures because

 

Well put! Yea, stogey I created the first thread as you saw.

 

when buying from any vendor a lesson can be learned from this , and it can be any vendor and does not need to be car releated could be anything

1- is the item in stock and ready for immediate shipping
2- what is the absolute lowest deposit i can leave for a special order as not to tie up huge chunks of money on a special orders and loose sleep over it
3-what date can you guarantee me that i will have my items , and if not delivered by that date can i have the choice or a refund or store credit
4- find referances that have dealt with the vendor and how was their experience with the transaction
5- are the raw materials in stock at the manufacturer so once the order is placed i am not waiting for the manufacturer to source raw materials
6- make depsoit & balance payment with a form of credit card so you have something to fall back on , don't pay with check, or cash, of debit card , because you have less re-course and control after the fact


remember let the buyer beware

 

I've seen your posts in regards to this whole thread and they've all done nothing but try to ease or glorify the situation or this Rick guy. Kinda odd. Sorry bud.

Honestly, I think it's disgraceful that their Yelp rating a long with other sites have 5 stars, etc. I'm sure more people are going to get screwed. The fact of that matter is that 1 year of "poor service" should not have happened. If they knew they were ****in up, they should not have taken any additional orders.
