Default TPMS Battery Life, Lot Date

I have a few used TPMS, 4 of which I need to install in my Volks when I put new rubber on. I am wondering if anyone knows how I can tell how old the TPMS are, or battery left in them. I guess the best method would be to contact Schrader and see if they can tell me from Serial number. Any ideas?

Schrader claims a life of 7 years. I doubt they track individual sensors for life but you can certainly try.

Last time I brought the used tpms to the dealership, they were able to read if the signal off the tpms were strong or weak.

I wonder if the tire shop or dealership can tell the battery level with their tpms reader devices?

Typical life is years. Battery is sealed in the unit so when its dead you have to buy a new sensor.
