Default Spare tire solution for BBK

I got a hold of a G37 (with sport package) spare tire today. Fits over my kit just fine, plenty of clearance, no spacers needed. The 370Z also uses the same spare. If you have a BBK and need a spare, just find one of these.

Huh. I'm totally screwed on this. I need a full size if my front
Goes. Have been looking for a single or double set for spares.

Good info. I should've "traded" my spare for the one in my wife's G37S before we sold it. Need to look into this.

Just to be sure does the G37 (sport) spare fit in our trunk?

It does , but the bolt that holds it down does not fit. The carpet fits perfectly over it.

I got mine today, $125 from the junk yard. Then I went to Ace and got a 3 1/2" bolt and some 2 ton epoxy. I took the old bolt out of the wheel lock down and epoxied in the new one. Works great!! I got one from an 09 370Z, 2 are listed the one that fits the BBK is the 18x4

Interesting option. I test fitted my stock spare steelie yesterday. It barely cleared the rear calipers, but didn't clear the front at all.

RandyK1, did the 370Z spare tire fit nicely in the trunk storage location?

It fit in the trunk the same as the old spare but its taller. I just left out that foam spacer that sits on top of the stock spare and the new spare fits up to the top of the compartment. when you put the carpet back on it looks just like stock.

If yours fits the rear but not the front all you have to do is if you have a front flat, pull off your rear tire, put on the spare and put the rear tire on the front. It wont look good but it will get you to the gas station. My front rotor is 13" so everything fits on mine.

^Yes, I thought about putting the rear tire in the front and use the spare for the rear, but worry that the 285/35/19 (19x10 +25mm offset) rear tire wouldn't fit in the front.

In a real emergency with a front flat, that's what you have to do - 16" spare on the rear and move your rear wheel to the front.

Awesome solution terra! Funny thing is that spare looks better than a lot of wheels out there...

Crap! I just realized this. I've been carrying around a spare for no reason! I have Stoptech 6-piston up front/ 2 piston rear. And my rear tire is 10.5x19 with 285/35.. I'm lowered 1.5" up front. I have to check to see if the rear tire will fit under the front fender now.
