Spare rear tire - flashing dashboard lights?

Default Spare rear tire - flashing dashboard lights?

hello just put the spare tire on the rear right side , will fix the normal tire tommorow but all my lights are flashing on dasboard ( hand-brake , abs etc.) is that normal when you have put spare tire on your Z , thank you.

Possible yes. Diameter of tires is different. TCS is having a fit.

^^ That is because the spare tire is not the correct size for your car's electronics (VDC and TCS and ABS).

When you mount the spare tire, turn-off VDC/TCS.

I suppose that we should describe how one does this.

You press the VDC or TCS button to disable this feature when running the spare tire (which is off-sized). When VDC or TCS is disabled, driving on the spare tire does not activate the car's electronic stability features.

thank you so much for the reply , so its not somthn scary i was thinking wtf this things are flashing. Im new 350z owner and love my car , and i am happy I found 350z.com, from now I will be checking it every day , cheers.

I cant turn it off , it just keep flashing , but hopefully when I mount the normal tire everything will be fine .

^^ Yes... all will be fine when you mount a normal tire.

The undersized spare will defeat VDC and TCS and ABS since it is the wrong size.
