Default need wheel help. amazing deal...

but im not sure how it will fit because i suck with offsets among other things

so a guy i know is trying to sell me 4 enkei rpf1's. he says they are the same size/offset as the nismo 350z.

wheel specs are:
Front: 18x9.5 offset 15
Rear: 19x10 offset 22

and the tires:
Hoosier A6
Front: 285 30 R18
Rear: 295 30 R19

i am lowered with an eibach pro-kit but he isnt lowered at all. my rear wheel tucks in my fender as it sits now, so will the wider wheel/tires affect me at all?

also, i am not sure about the whole look of the 18/19 setup. but im getting the wheels/hoosiers/6 extra front Kumho V710/ and the enkei center caps for $700

if anyone has any pictures of this setup that would be great, i cant find any exactly like it after going through 3/4 of the enkei thread.

thanks

edit: i attached a pic of my ride height

Umm... first of all the nismo set up does not have different wheel diameters front to rear. secondly a 285 in the front is enormous, and 295 in the rear is nothing to scoff at.

Especially with offsets that low you are going to have run HUGE negative camber to make those fit.

Thirdly hoosier a6's are a dot slick correct>? are you using these on the street?

no, autocross. I know for a fact that he has 4 races on these tires on his z. he did say he had to get longer studs (from a nismo?) for the front hubs but i havent mounted them yet to see why that is. but like i said, hes at stock ride height

i thought the 285's were wide as hell but i figured since they were slicks they would be different than just running that on the street

NISMO 350Z does have 18" front and 19" rear wheels. They are not, however, 9.5" front and 10" rear like the OP's friend said they are. They are 18x9 +30 front and 19x10 +30 rear. Maybe he meant they fit the NISMO 350Z, which I agree with.

I love my 285 front tires, and that size is ok for a Hoosier on those wheels. If you ditched the Hoosiers and ran regular street tires, I'd probably go down in size. Stock size on the 18/19 NISMO set is 245 front and 265 rear, but you can certainly go larger like most do.

If you want to ditch any of the 18" Hoosiers, assuming they are in good condition, let me know.

You can get aftermarket (not "NISMO" brand) longer (stronger) studs. I don't see why they would be necessary on a 9.5 +15 wheel, as that is already pushed out pretty far. Hoosier A6 tires are not "slicks", they are DOT-approved and have grooves.

Will you be doing autox just for fun? I don't think you can use those wheels and stay in the stock class since the fronts are wider than comes on the NISMO and the offsets are more than 1/4" different than stock. You'd immediately go into a prepared class.

19x10 +22 rear is ok with a 295, but look at my other post as well, as I don't think the 19" wheel is ideal though that price is great. If it's just for fun, it's fine. 255 rear? That's cute.

ah i was under the impression they were slicks. either way..

and yeah im doing it just for fun. im already in the SSM class though because of suspension mods and solid bushings. so the hoosiers might as well help me out in that class

I went for my first time out last month and got 2nd in my class out of 7 decently modded cars and autox veterans, and i was on street tires. I would like to have more seat time before i use the hoosiers, but i hate to let these wheels and tires get bought from someone else if they fit my car well.

295 on a +22 & lowered car, i would suggest you roll your rear fenders..

what camber are you running now, or just whatever it is after the springs?

+1 on scott.. 19" on auto-x.. hmm. it would Look good, but your acceleration off the line wouldn't be as good if you went with an 18" all around..

the camber is at like -2.4 or -2.7 in the rear after the drop i *think* if i remember correctly after my recent alignment.

and i get what your saying about the acceleration. who knows, if the wheels look good, after i wear out my tires i may just use my stock wheels with hoosiers. And just keep the nicer wheels with street tires since the autox will only be a few times a year. we have a 6 week old and my wife would appreciate the cheaper tires. hah
