Weds SA55M 18x9.0 +20 Akebono Clearance
If anyone tell me for certain whether or not the SA55M's in 18x9.0 +20 will clear the Akebono kit for a 350Z you will seriously make my whole month.
Thanks
Thanks
Well, we can easily find out if they will fit the 18x10s if I either send Cheston the template or if he just makes one himself with cardboard

I don't know why I didn't get Brembos, I saw the Akebono kit and got an Akeboner. Thought it was a great price too.
I doubt there's a problem with spoke clearance, I am 99% sure the calipers will clear the spokes on the Weds.
It's the little lip around the barrel that might not clear. (attached) That is the problem I had on my 19x9.5 +28 SF Challenge in the front, I needed to get 5mm spacer for them to clear that little lip.
I hate the spacers, I want a wheel that fits properly by itself. If I can't get it with the Weds I might as well go for the CE28N's or TE37SL's since those fit for sure. (attached)

send me the template and ill cut and fit.
if the template is anything near the 6 piston Stoptech ST60, it'll clear fine...i have a ton of room with the ST60 and the spokes... and a plenty of clearance on the barrel side.
i know this isnt the best picture but check out the shadow of the spokes on my caliper... it arches wayy out

I used this template with success - it showed me that my front SF challenge wouldn't fit without a 5mm spacer.

I just taped it to cardboard and exacto'd it out, leaving ~2mm of excess cardboard.
You are awesome for doing this. I believe it will fit just have to be sure.

according to the CZP template, the 14" front Akebono brake will extend nearly 22mm closer to the spokes than my ST-60s, and extend 11mm taller toward the barrel than the St-60s.
using those measurements, it (the 14" akebono brakes) will clear the Weds Sports SA55m in 18x10 + 18 RR face both in spoke and barrel. (measured against the wheel using ruler)
y Akebono so wide and tall????
