Stock tires in front New Tires in back
For some reason my 2 rear tires are practically smoked after only 11k miles, my 2 front tires are OK, so my question is this... will it be ok if I get 2 new rear tires, lets say 245..and then when the front tires are worn out, put the 245 in front and get new 255 for the back? Since it seems that my rear tires will wear out faster.
Also, will it be a problem if i have the 225 in front and 245 in the rear for a few months?
any suggestions on some good tires, Ill never be in snow, and only sometimes in the rain
-thanks
PS this is on stock 17's

Im not sure that the 245's will fit in the front...

If so you can come by and we can get them put on.
THey have maybe 2k miles on them, and i dont sit there doing burn outs all the time. they look great.

Humm Rear Toe In ?
Breaker
Unless you do burnouts day after day your rear tires should go
much longer then 11,000
I talked to a fellow Z owner, who wore the complete rear tires down in 6000 miles.... ( looked like a set of Slicks )
On visual inspection the rear tow in was way off.
( He had a friend change sway bars for him. The friend unbolted the Traction rods to make his job easier. Freind did not know the front traction rod holder was a Cam adjustment for tow in. - Ha! )
On the rear it can be easily measured with a couple of Yard sticks. First measure the distance between the yard sticks held against the rims with the long end of the stick - to the rear. Then measure the yardsticks facing forward while held against the rim. ( angle sticks down some )
Should be same distance, or very close.
If the distance measured with sticks forward is quite a bit less, the rear suspension has way too much tow in !
Cheers Amy -

I will check in the morning, but I just got it back from the dealership where they fixed the tire feathering in the front by rotating the front 2 tires and adjusting the tow-in.. The mechanic was the one that pointed out that my tires were smoked.. so I think he would notice if the rear tow was off
I don't do burnouts, and my tires only peel if i dont stick the launch every once in a blue moon.. So im still not sure..
