Default Seems expensive

So I've been calling around locally asking for pricing on powder coating (Orlando). Everything just seems expensive, I have a 2007 Z so I guess the rims will need to be sand blasted... Central Florida powdercoating wants 100per hour of blasting an 75 per wheel. Others are higher than that...

What have you guys payed in the past. I want a basic black gloss.

Thanks. John

~$125/wheel. I prepped and powdercoated a set of wheels myself, and I would gladly pay someone $500 to do all 4 versus the time I spent to do it all myself.

Seems reasonable. Gotta pay to play.

Depends somewhat on the color. Black is cheaper than red for example, but expect $400-500 ($100-150 per wheel) for a set done nicely. Do it right the first time.

don't powdercoat stock wheels. it just makes your car look cheap.

A quality job begins with bare metal. Lots of man hours here.

On the other hand are mass produced wheels. Figure one China man can make 20 wheels in a day. Wages are about $40/day. See where I am going.

Just like everyone said.... I've done few sets myself just for some buddies of mine... Sooooo much prep involved. You pay the price but depending on the shop, you will get a warranty just in case

Price sounds right although I would suggest saving for a few more months and picking up a set of used Enkei RPF1's rather than painting stock wheels.
