hey guys, with my turbo ls1 swap almost complete, im looking to fit as wide a wheel as possible under my fenders. im stuck on the styling of my volk gtc's and to date, are pretty much my favorite wheel. the only downside is that they are 9.5 out back and i cant fit a wide enough tire, so instead of the hassle of trying to find somebody to swap to a skinnier rear (almost impossible-tried it) im almost sold on sending my wheels to www.weldcraftwheels.com to have them widened to 11-11.5 out back so i can run a 315/30 or wider tire. anybody have insight to this company at all? all the reviews look great and work looks superb and the $500 price quote i got seems very reasonable- any insight or anybody that wants to trade lol let me know!
ps im not looking to stretch anything or have crazy amounts of camber, i just want as much of a contact patch as possible-most likely gonna run hoosier a6's i think

Aren't your barrels forged? I'm sure you can find barrels that work with the GTC faces. MemoryFab machines barrels, you might want to check with them. I contacted them for a stepped lip barrel for my Work Equip and they can do it.

I recall one of our members widening OEM Track wheels. Wide plus paint. Results are good.
I would be curious about offset after widening. Will they clear the brake callipers and suspension?

Here is that thread for the widened Track wheels, he also went through Weldcraft:

True thanks for the link Wiazzz but the one's that have been widened were single piece wheels. I don't see why you'd have multi pieced wheels and cut/widened when you can buy a barrel.
