OP, what happened to your idea for the painted grand touring wheels that you earlier posted? Don't worry about spacers,
that's easy to figure out.

These wheels will also need spacer in order for you to run them but are not meant for a Z, they are most likely for a FWD car.

If you want a set of wheels first you will need to decide a realistic budget and then you will need to find a wheel
with specs like the following found in the bottom of this post:

I have never seen a set of CE28's go for $10K

First of all when modifying your car (at least in my mind), you would want to make sure what you bought was an upgrade. Seeing as those wheels are not the right PCD, widths or offsets. It would take a bit of work and money to get those to fit correctly. I'm not saying they would look anywhere near acceptable. Most likely worse than stock. I'm just saving him the aggravation and effort of making a thread in a few months saying, "I made a huge mistake". He seems to be very interested in this wheel design, which looks to be a direct replica of the ce28s, why not recommend them?

There are deals to be had in the private marketplace, just be patient.

If you're buying wheels with the intention of using spacers; you're doing it wrong.

I think even Vars would be a hell of a lot better than these. Even the XXR's would be better, and they come in gunmetal.

Agree.

Study "bolt pattern" and you will see that these rims are wrong for the 350Z.

Spacers are used when members buy wheels with the wrong offset. In other words you are trying to "fix" the wrong wheel. Get a wheel with the proper offset and eliminate the spacer headache.

http://varrstoen.com/blog/?p=492
get these with 19x9.5 +22 front and 19x10.5 +22 rear and you will fit them under your fenders with no crazy camber

XXR doesn't really make something for a 350z in that style

ha at this thread.

The reason i brought up spacers is because there is a 60 page thread on them so i thought they were mandatory for rims aftermarket rims. I would perfer not to buy them, one less thing to break

I'm not going to let my personal thoughts on these wheels get me all riled up... But I will answer your questions.

The sizing you specified in your 1st post is WAY off for a Z. Way too narrow, offsets are way too high... basically they're going to look like doodoo. Something in the 8.5" - 9.5" width range for the front, and 9.5-11" for the rear is much more appropriate for a stock bodied 350Z. Also, as you found out, you need wheels in 5x114.3 PCD (aka bolt pattern).

As for spacers... There's nothing wrong with using spacers, at all. But if you're going to drop the cash on new wheels, just buy what fits properly. Spacers are good if you come across a great deal on some wheels, or want your OEM wheels to look a bit better until you can afford wheels, or are trying to push the limits of fitment and see what you can fit before ordering a new crazy setup.

I can't recommend that anyone buys knockoff/replica/copy wheels when the originals are still produced, but that's more of a personal opinion thing than facts, so I'll just save that for another thread lol.

oh my dear god.. really?

Those wheels , as Waizz stated, are not made for the car AT ALL.
Size offset etc. would be a huge mistake.. sorry if theres more replies to this on page two, i just saw it on page one and had to facepalm and quote/reply. Cmon man... thats no way to look at it.

They are a great wheel for a FWD honda civic.

Has absolutley nothing to do with cost.

AND, the OP sure must not have much experience w wheels.. and its actually nice to have high end part numbered comments so he can image google them and see them and go "Whoa.. those are FAR nicer.. maybe this changes things for me and what i want my wheels to look like".

OP.. keep an open mind to what ppl tell you, the PROPER wheel is key, and it doesnt have to cost a grip of cash at ALL. But theres the right way, variations of the right way, and then everything else is pretty much the wrong way for sure.

Goes for any car out there.

ha, now i see my reply was a carbon copy to VQpwrds reply.. too funnny.. must mean its true and were like super smart haha.

OP is clueless, and admits this, and is searching for help.. and im cool w that for sure.. it happens.

So OP.. let the idea of buying THAT wheel go cuz youre not going to do it.. heres an idea too... go to www.rimtuck.com , check out the 350z there and see what you like... if you find anything, post a pic and the data specs here and we can tell you how clsoe youre gna get for your budget w a similar wheel etc.

Thats the best way really... find a pic of a wheel on a z, doesnt have to be THE wheel... but just the fit and how it looks.. and we can tell you what it is and where to get one.. and then youll end up happier than sh#t.

Cool?

Bmac--OUT.

Can't say it much better than Matt @ VividRacing. Not flaming, but keep moving and forget about that set of wheels. As a minimum, if you want that style consider Rota DPT or Varrstoen 3.3.2. If you can hold off and save up some more money, but the real-deal Volk CE28 (actually LE28n if you want the polished lip).

You never know who might be selling a used set at a fraction of the cost of new
*cough cough*
in the near future.

First place to start is by setting a budget (with tires) from there we can start to give you suggestions.

Another thing to remember is you can paint any wheel to your liking if the manufacturer doesn't offer it.

Rev Night, what is your budget? That's the most important key. We can help you as you need to be patient. The wheels you posted are weaksauce and belong on a honda. Budget, now, thank you.

sell your z if you would even think about "painting" anything chrome.
