Default Need Help Identifying Wheels

edit: 11.2.11

ok, the masses have spoken and i have seen the error of my ways.

What would be acceptable, nay, respectable size tires and rims size to buy as an aftermarket upgrade? For performance purposes, its best to say at 18 right? 19 is heavier, and also more expensive.

Wheels:
I heard 18x9.5 +20 all around was good for a squared setup.
But i want to go staggered, so I see setups of 18x8.5 +20, 18x10 +20
Really like the TSW Zolder (Multi-spoke) and Valencia (Mesh) that was posted. Still need to be glossy black with mach lip tho

All-Season Tires:
If i get the above rims, what are the maximum recommended size for tires?
I heard 245/40, 275/40 mentioned as being good
Ive heard good things about all 3, is there a big difference for a daily driver? Sometimes track, autox, but mainly city driving. Needs to be all season, even tho winters are wet here in wash dc.
-Falken FK-452 as low priced
-Goodyear Eagle GTs are medium priced
-Mich. Sport A/S Plus are high priced

When i get it all bought and installed i promise ill post pics

Those are the painted Grand Touring/OEM NISMO wheels

EDIT:

If you need more examples of painted OEM wheels there is a massive thread on the topic:

No problem, take a look at that thread and you will see plenty of examples with some sort of stripe on the non-NISMO's

ok, i took a look at that thread and the only stripe on non-nismo rims was below. i saw it last night and i liked it, but i want to the true trim, not just painting the wall.

so now that i know that the trims are and how i want them, next is if i need any spacers, then its time to shop. So now i have to put some numbers together..

Cost of used nismo rims
Cost of powercoat
Benefit of selling 2007 OEM rims with 20K mileage.

Anyone know offhand these numbers. im doing research on them now

thanks guys

Several other posters have asked how to add "rim stripes" on their wheels. This may
be a solution for your white stripes need?
There are suppliers (on the Web)for wheel stripes for bike applications.
Many mention,motorcycle/auto apps...
I've not seen these decals used on car rims.Seem to think they would work?
They come in 16-19" sizes. The kits are 4 piece "curves" that look pretty easy to install
on a wheel.
Has anyone used these? If so,I'd like to see pics.

Saw your black rims with the white stripe.
Is the white stripe the decals from this company?

Man...sick!

There are several other wheel rim vinyl sites on the Web.A interesting one is STI
CKER CITY.COM .Has stripes to fit all sizes of wheels, every color& you can select the width
of the stripe!

I had my GTs powdercoated extremely similar to that:

they are gunmetal with a bright silver lip. It's been years since I had that done, but I think the price was like $250-$300 for the powdercoating. At the time, OE GTs went anywhere from $1300 to $2000 with tires, but it's been almost 4 years since I bought them.

first two things. take off the nismo decal and paint your wheels one color.

if you are gonna buy OEM nismo wheels THEN pay someone to powdercoat them you mid as well buy aftermarket wheels for that price.

That's not his Z, it's from the modified OEM wheel thread link that I posted for him.

It looks pretty terrible though regardless

Default Need Help Choosing a Set of Wheels

edit: ok, i see that my bolt pattern is 5/114.3 so this exact model wont fit. BUT, will it not fit for any other reasons?

edit 2: Spacers are for people who dont buy the correct time in the first place. Damn, wish i knew that instead of reading a good portion of that spacer thread. Seemed like everyone was doing it.

edit 3: Width is way too small, aiming for OEM if possible.

edit 4: My budget is around $500-700 shipped. Im perfectly fine with buying used, as long as its still in good condition.

All I care about is black rims with chrome outline with a wheel that fits. Dont see anything wrong with 'replicas' per se as long as the quality and end result is the same.

----------------------------------------------------
Sirs,

I want to get some black rims with chrome outline, but i dont know jack about spacers. Yes, i read the spacer thread and I get their general purpose, but I dont know if I need them. Basically, will the below rims fit on my 2007 350z Touring?

Please say yes and all is good. They will look so on my solar orange. Going for a black theme here.

7" wide wheels that will look terrible on your car please go with at least a 10" in the back and 9.5" in the front with +22 all around
