Default Would painting these wheels help?

I'm strongly considering buying this Brickyard, but am not a fan of these Lexani wheels (although I hear they are expensive??).

Anyway, any of you wheel guru's think they can be saved by being painted a solid color, like black/gunmetal etc... or are they just bad all around?

TBH, I probably wont buy the car if I am stuck with fugly wheels- I'm not going to spring the $ to buy new ones right off the bat, and dont want to drive around with these for months/year.

Opinions?

The headlights are tinted it looks cheap IMHO. Usually people who mod their cars like that with all the cheap stuff and have no "taste" per say really abuse the car. Look for a cheaper stock looking Z.

To look good, you're going to need some spacers in addition to getting the wheels refinished. Actually, I think with spacers and blacking out the hardware (bolts on the face), you could get by without powde rcoating/painting the wheels. We've got H&R Trak+ spacers on sale right now. You could get those wheels flush w/ the fenders for pretty cheap.

Ha, not sure... but probably.

Thanks for replying guys, I think I may just pass up on this one. I just cant get over the wheels, and yes, someone who put these wheels on may not have the taste to take good care of the car (good point).

Sure you can paint the wheels. Any color you wish. Why not.

Lexani's belong on SUV's and represent a ghetto baller style to modding that's played out.

I wouldnt waste time painting or refinishing the wheels...
since they are "expensive" wheels. sell them of a good chunk of change, get wheels that you prefer. might break even if not have to pony up a little $ for wheels and tires that you like.
if you get what you want in wheels and tires with $ to spare = WIN

owner/driver looks like he took enough care not to curb or damage wheels so I guess it couldnt be abused that badly, I imagine crusing around at 15 mph at the nightclub strip so people can see how dope he is wouldn't be too stressful on the car.

If the car is good enough deal I would still buy it and trade the wheels on the forum for a set of stock wheels.

I don't think painting can really help, they are too ulgy IMO

the wheels should not be a deal breaker when buying a car. you can pick up a set of oem wheels on craigs for like $300 with tires.
